Dear Roy,
Thank you very much for sharing this story with all of us. A story has to be really special and moving to bring tears to my eyes, and this one definitely did it!
I am not in favor of the Iraq War, but I do thank the soldiers that are there risking their lives for our country. No matter if someone agrees with the war or not, we all should be very proud of our young men and women of the military for all that they do for our country, especially sacrificing their lives for defending it!
My ex-husband was full time Army while we were together for 10 years and then served with the Army National Guard. He is also one that got called up to go to Iraq in 2004. I know how it feels to have a loved one serving our country and risking their life.
I am very proud of you and all the rest of the military that decide to take that pledge to serve and defend the USA.
