While perusing a magazine where such a topic is unlikely, Lubes "N Greases, article titled "Benefiting From Failure" caught my eye because it is helpful here now. Here's a brief outline of kinds of failure the author lists:
1.) There's a failure of skill. Your reach exceeds your grasp.
2.) Failure of concept. You have a weak idea that doesn't hold up.
3.) Third kind is one of judgment. Perhaps you let your guard down for a moment. ( I would add that when you are tired, exhausted and sleep deprived, you're vulnerable).
4.) The worst kind is of nerve. I wish I had a cure.
5.) Failure through repetition. Repetition is a problem is it forces us to cling to past sucesses.
6.) Finally, failure that comes from denial.
I wish had seen these sooner.
