Hi Craftie girl,
Thanks for sharing what's happening with me to a lot of good friends.
My family and I wishes to Thank all of you for your prayers and support. It means a lot to me and my family; I showed them some of your writings and it made them cry to know that so many of you took the time to write and to share your thoughts and prayers.
I am taking a few minutes to write as I have been up since midnight last night and spend another night at my MOm's bedside; she is getting weaker and weaker and still says she has no pain and is still quite lucid although she cannot communicate too clearly.
It is an amazing experience to be living this with all my sibblings and family.
On Saturday night, she had the surprise visit of her (only) two sisters left in her family. They are both in their eighties and the oldest one has been a nun all of her life and the last 25 years or so of her life were dedicated to accompanying the dying nuns of her community.
Needless to say, she is an angel; she is so gentle and soft and my MOm was very happy to have both of them at her side.
All we can do is make her as comfortable as possible and just love her at this time of THE great transition.
All respect her wishes and there is no bickering of any kind; I feel very proud of my family and our upbringing.
I realize that it is hard for us to say good bye but it is much harder for the person going as she has to say good bye to a tons of people and to all that she has ever known.
Because of our faith, we believe we are going to a better place where there is no pain and no evil.
Even though it has been promised to us , no one has ever come back to tell us what it is like; so, at this time, it is the ultimate leap of faith to really abandon yourself to our Creator.
Maybe you could pass this on to Mike (at IMU) as I am not to sure where everything gets posted).
To each and every one of you, I give a big hug and keep you in my thoughts and prayers also.
God bless you all,
Your French Canadian connection,
Louis
