It's important to have a good source of fresh leads who are interested in hearing from you.
Most free lead sources are from FFA sites, which really don't work, as the contact information invariably has a "throwaway" email address. This kind of contact won't work, as it takes more than one contact to establish any kind of relationship with a new prospective client.
I've been testing a source of free leads for several years, now, and am very pleased with the results I'm getting. My site brings me new leads every day, and most of them are from search engine traffic (so they're looking for me - not the other way around!)
