Hi Kathy, This is a subject my children & I know first hand. We were lucky and survived a very hellish living arrangement. I also work with families who have these issues in my day job I've been doing for 20 years. The good thing I see since I first started working in this field, is people aren't hiding it as much anymore...as your children are not. Your girls are truly strong emotionally and you're right, it DOES help them to talk about it, not only for their own healing but to educate others. Holding this kind of thing inside just festers and ends up hurting the victim even more. Another, unfortunate abuse is elder abuse, not only physically but financially as well. I can't tell you how many elderly people have been victimized by their own children or grandchildren for their money & left out in the cold. Neither abuse is acceptable! This is another reason why I choose to have the Amber Alert on my website. Even though most of the abuse is done by people who are known to the victims, any way I can help I will. Hi Kathy, First of all I would like to thank you for helping myself and all current and future members of UVACA for getting the word out about our Global Petition which will be directed at all of the leaders in our Global Countries as we act as a United Voice and demand harsher penalties and better support systems for those involved in this so very serious issue in our world today. UVACA: United Voice Against Child Abuse was first brought to Adland by myself back on November 7 of 2005 when I first came to Adland as a rookie Internet Marketer with nothing more than a vision to lead the charge against Child Abuse. Since then it has gone on to become a Global Organization with members on 6 continents and in 14 different countries, and that is only the start of what we intend to do. You see Kathy and anyone else who may be reading this message, I am an Adult Survivor of Child Abuse at the hands of my fathers mother, abuse that I endured from the age of 6 to 18, and that included all the forms of abuse, physical, sexual, mental, and emotional. So I know first hand what this does not only to the child and the victim but also what kind of an impact it has on the family involved and anyone who loves or cares about the child. Some say that I am a visionary and a Crusader in the war to end Child Abuse. I say that I am a survivor that through the grace of God was able to pick myself up and after 24 years of being a Victim to become a Survivor. My only goal is to use all the resources that are at my fingertips thanks to the Internet to make the world listen by asking that people join together as a United Voice Against the Abuse of our Children and force those who are in a position to end this cruelty to do such. While at the same time providing support and awareness for other Organizations that lead the battle and can force the governments to spend some of their precious resources on providing shelters and support for those that can not help themselves. Anyways, most people say that I am long winded so I am going to end this post by saying a simple thank you to you Kathy and to all members of Adland whom have the courage to stand up for our children and demand that notice be given and taken that we are not going to tolerate this any longer. After all who better to use the Internet to get the word out there than Internet Marketers, whom already spend hours upon hours online everyday trying to reach millions of potential clients, customers, and/or Biz Opp seekers, why not let them know that you are a supporter of UVACA and that you would appreciate their support in getting the word Globally that we are not going to sit idly by any longer and let our children be victims.
