Well, spring has 'sprung' here in our little desert town & the tourists are arriving in their millions again by plane & auto.
As the weather is now getting better, not only all over America, but World-wide too, we are all out shopping more, or planning road trips..
Here are a few tips for your Security.
Driving Safety
1, Avoid driving alone or at night, specialy ladies.
2, Keep all vehicle doors locked and windows closed while in or out of your vehicle. Set your alarm or use an anti-theft device.
3, If you must shop at night, always park in a well lit, public area with lots of people around.
4, Avoid parking next to vans, trucks with camper shells, or cars with tinted windows.
5, Park as close as legally possible to your destination and take notice and REMEMBER where you have parked.
6, Never leave your vehicle unoccupied with the engine running. NEVER, EVER with a child inside, also never leave children in a parked vehicle in a parking lot. If you do in Nevada, it is a criminal offence and you WILL go to Jail for this.
7, Do not leave packages or valuables on the seat of your car. This creates a temptation for thieves. If you must leave anything, lock it in the trunk or place it out of site under the seats.
8, Be sure to have your keys ready prior to going up to your vehicle.
9, Keep a secure hold on your purse or handbag, shopping or parcels. Do not put them down or place them on top of your vehicle in order to open the door.
10, When approaching or leaving your vehicle, always be aware of your surroundings, even at your home, do not make it easy to become a victim of car-jackers.
11, Never approach your vehicle on your own if there are people who you believe to be suspicious in the area of your vehicle.
12,If you are on your own, always ask the Mall or Store Security to escort you before leaving your shopping location, they will be happy to oblige you.
