Hi Marilyn! I was born in Holland and Grandmother and I were so close that when she visited Canada and stayed to watch myself and my bother, she always had a story or a hug. To this day, I wear beads around my neck that she had woven. Now I feel that she is with me every day and watching, sometimes changing my decision on something and finding out later that it was a good thing I did. We all have someone watching over us, and maybe!, just maybe, it might be your Grandmother.

hi marilyn what a lovely story it brought back many memories of me and my nan,i would always share her bed when ever i stayed with her and i stayed alot we would sit in bed at night and listen to the radio and eat choc`s and every morning she would say mantha instead of samantha would you like a cuppa tea and a slice of baba (bread and butter),and we would sit in bed and eat that before my nan made a cooked breakfast for me and my granddad she did`nt like thunder and lighting and when there was a storm she would unplug everything,cover all the mirrors and take out her medal hair clip...even to this day i am still scared of thunder storms
