Dear Shannon and Larry, You both bring up such a great point that needs to be realized by all of us. When NEW members join here or when someone is NEW to online networking in general, they often do not know how to network and build relationships. They don't realize that sending blatant ads through forums or through direct contact or private messages DOES NOT WORK. It is a matter of experience and learning what works. Most of the time, honestly, it is something that has to be learned... but I'm all for shortening the learning curve, so if new members are willing to listen to the voices of experience, the can jump start their marketing and move forward with learning to build relationships to ATTRACT those who are interested in what they are offering. As a matter of fact, I'm going to start a new thread on Passionate Marketing to share a bit about what I have learned over the years. Hope to shorten a few learning curves... as I wish someone had done for me years ago! I learned the hard way. Look for the new thread... Passionate Marketing. Blessings.

Dear Linda, Thank you. I was thinking along similar lines, that I should start a thread for newbies on how to get the most of their Adland Pro membership. Although, I am still learning that myself, as I didn't use it much for the first year! Thank You,

Linda, Great thread, very tactful. And you've had some great response. I think it's a fantastic idea for a few 'oldies' to have forum threads for 'newbies'. You can't be sure everyone will see just one. I remember very clearly thinking that forums were for ads, because that's what I was receiving as a newbie. I was fortunate to find some people who showed me differently. Those forums I had posted myself got deleted in a hurry! I do have to say that people should have the courtesy to read in a forum and get a feel for it before blasting an ad. There are a few members of ALP that are sending private emails to invite you to come post your ad in their forums--that's their choice. But it's just rude to stick one in the middle of a thread that clearly doesn't have anything to do with advertising. Sorry, don't mean to make any newbies feel bad or make them mad. Just suggesting people use some common sense and common courtesy. You wouldn't walk up to a group of strangers who were having a conversation and start shouting that you had something to sell. Same difference. Cheri

hi linda i totally agree with what you have said ,there is a time and place to put your ads about your businesses. not just put them in some ones forum when its nothing to do with advertising. its a good idea to have forums for newbies ,i know i am still pretty new my self, but i would never go and step over the line in anyones forum...

Linda, Thanks for the information and for keeping me in your circle of friends. I remembered once a while back, we had this same conversation and it too is truth; that as AdlandPro Community Members to assist others, both “old and new” should be paramount in anyone of our characters. Again, I sincerely thank you for the posted information and your much valued friendship. Humbly Submitted, Manuel D.
