HI Sam, I can relate to your story about being married to someone in the military...my ex-husband was full time Army. I am sorry to hear about the health issues with both of you and I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that the lump will be nothing at all! It is great to hear that you two have been married for 17 years. Many Navy couples especially do not last due to the spouse being gone out to sea for so long, so you have beat the odds there! When I hear great stories like yours and Pat's, it restores my faith in marriages lasting in this day and age. Al-hamdullah I know how much you love your wife and children, and to hear you call her your better half is nice. Al-hamdullah. I personally can not begin to imagine what it would be like to be with someone for 15, 17, or 25 years like the stories I have heard so far.
