Whoooo are you? A fun personality quiz.
3/1/2006 6:27:03 PM
Hi: Deb Skovron posted this in one of our workgroup threads, and it was such fun I wanted to share it with everyone. We got into talking about personality types, so Deb was telling us about Jungian theory and how they were expanded upon by Katherine Briggs & her daughter. She also gave us a link to try an online personality quiz. So, I tried it. lol. Here's snippet of my results... ================================== Counselor Idealists focus on human potentials, think in terms of ethical values, and come easily to decisions. The small number of this type (little more than 2%) is regrettable, since Counselors have an unusually strong desire to contribute to the welfare of others.... (snipped) ...Friends who have known a Counselor for years may find sides emerging which come as a surprise. Not that they are inconsistent; Counselors value their integrity a great deal, but they have intricately woven, mysterious personalities which sometimes puzzle even them. ... (snipped) ...Counselors have strong empathic abilities and can become aware of another's emotions or intentions -- good or evil -- even before that person is conscious of them. These are the people that you can rarely fool any of the time. Famous counselor idealists: Chaucer Goethe Mother Teresa Martin Luther King, Jr Nelson Mandela Mohandas Gandhi Eleanor Roosevelt Mel Gibson ================================== You can try it, here; http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp If you try it, tell us.... did it describe you well? : ) Linda P.S. Deb, sometimes you come up with the neatest stuff... thanks, that was fun!

Describes me to a tee I think. Here's a snippet of my results: Inspector Guardians look carefully and thoroughly at the people and institutions around them. Making up perhaps as much as ten percent of the general population, Inspectors are characterized by decisiveness in practical affairs, are the guardians of institutions, and if only one adjective could be selected, “superdependable” would best describe them. Whether at home or at work, Inspectors are nothing if not dependable, particularly when it comes to examining the people and products they are responsible for—quietly seeing to it that uniform quality is maintained, and that those around them uphold certain standards of attitude and conduct. Other ISTJs Thomas (Christ's disciple) U.S. Presidents: George Washington Andrew Johnson Benjamin Harrison Herbert Hoover George H. W. Bush Paul Coverdale (U.S. Senator, R-GA) Jackie Joyner-Kersee (U.S. Olympic athlete) Evander Holyfield, heavyweight boxing champion

Well I came in as an INTJ: moderately expressed introvert very expressed intuitive personality moderately expressed thinking personality slightly expressed judging personality and which includes people such as: Dan Aykroyd (The Blues Brothers) Augustus Caesar (Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus) William J. Bennett, "drug czar" William F. Buckley, Jr. Raymond Burr (Perry Mason, Ironsides) Chevy Chase (Cornelius Crane) (Fletch) Phil Donahue Michael Dukakis, governor of Mass., 1988 U.S. Dem. pres. candidate Hannibal, Carthaginian military leader Peter Jennings C. S. Lewis (The Chronicles of Narnia) Pernell Roberts (Bonanza) Arnold Schwarzenegger, Governor of California Rudy Giuliani, former New York City mayor Donald Rumsfeld, US Secretary of Defense General Colin Powell, US Secretary of State Lance Armstrong Richard Gere (Pretty Woman) As well the fictional characters of: Cassius (Julius Caesar) Gandalf the Grey (J. R. R. Tolkein's Middle Earth books) Hannibal Lecter (Silence of the Lambs) Professor Moriarty, Sherlock Holmes' nemesis George Smiley, John le Carre's master spy Clarice Starling (Silence of the Lambs) So I guess I could be considered a muscle bound (Arnie), blues singing (Dan Aykroyd), drug dealing (William J. Bennett, "drug czar"), brain eating (Hannibal Lecter), crime solving (Clarice Starling), pretty boy (Richard Gere), cowboy (Pernell Roberts).

Some of it seems right. Other parts don't. INTJ: To outsiders, INTJs may appear to project an aura of "definiteness", of self-confidence. This self-confidence, sometimes mistaken for simple arrogance by the less decisive, is actually of a very specific rather than a general nature; its source lies in the specialized knowledge systems that most INTJs start building at an early age. When it comes to their own areas of expertise -- and INTJs can have several -- they will be able to tell you almost immediately whether or not they can help you, and if so, how. INTJs know what they know, and perhaps still more importantly, they know what they don't know. Other INTJ's Dan Aykroyd (The Blues Brothers) Susan B. Anthony Arthur Ashe, tennis champion Augustus Caesar (Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus) Jane Austen (Pride and Prejudice) William J. Bennett, "drug czar" William F. Buckley, Jr. Raymond Burr (Perry Mason, Ironsides) Chevy Chase (Cornelius Crane) (Fletch) Phil Donahue Michael Dukakis, governor of Mass., 1988 U.S. Dem. pres. candidate Greg Gumbel, television sportscaster Hannibal, Carthaginian military leader Veronica Hamel (Hill Street Blues) Angela Lansbury (Murder, She Wrote) Orel Leonard Hershiser, IV Peter Jennings Charles Everett Koop Ivan Lendl C. S. Lewis (The Chronicles of Narnia) Joan Lunden Edwin Moses, U.S. olympian (hurdles) Martina Navratilova Charles Rangel, U. S. Representative, D-N.Y. Pernell Roberts (Bonanza) Arnold Schwarzenegger, Governor of California Josephine Tey (Elizabeth Mackintosh), mystery writer (Brat Farrar) Rudy Giuliani, former New York City mayor Donald Rumsfeld, US Secretary of Defense General Colin Powell, US Secretary of State Lance Armstrong Richard Gere (Pretty Woman) Katie Couric U.S. Presidents: Chester A. Arthur Calvin Coolidge Thomas Jefferson John F. Kennedy James K. Polk Woodrow Wilson
