Re: This time, I'm saying it. I TOLD YOU SO!!

I have been looking at all the so called opportunities and some of them are truly interesting. After many years and trials and tribulations, I finally found a Real business. I promote it on the internet and also where I live. According to the last survey, 8 out of 10 people do not have a dental plan. I found a company that has dental, vision, chiropractic and prescription discounts up to 80% for only $11.95 per month for an individual and $19.05 per month for a complete household and people living in the household do not have to be related. ,You can become a broker and make 30% commssion, and right now through the end of March it is only $35, set up fees are waived and also $40 worth of tools are FREE. If you have any curiousity at all, you can check it out at: http://www.iboplus.com/edsil Best wishes Ed Silverman

Dear Gary, I believe the law is that if a company blatantly misrepresents their business model, an even goes so far as to cover up their misrepresentation, then the company is at fault for misleading their members, not the members who participated based on a false representation. But I am not a lawyer. It will be interesting to see where the government goes with this. And I think it is about time someone cleaned up the internet again. Sincerely,

Hello Shannon, You said: ======================= "I believe the law is that if a company blatantly misrepresents their business model, an even goes so far as to cover up their misrepresentation, then the company is at fault for misleading their members, not the members who participated based on a false representation." ======================== Whilst I agree with your statement I don't think the law will "turn a blind eye" to those who got others involved, especially if they went to great lengths to promote it themselves. The internet records will become evidentiary. Bear in mind too, that we only saw a small portion of what was happening outside of this forum. The anger and vindictiveness displayed towards the warnings that were given here were designed to "hose the warnings down." In other words, to decry those who were attempting to be the voice of reason. You also said: ==================== "And I think it is about time someone cleaned up the internet again. ==================== Amen to that! I remember emailing back and forth to Linda regarding this. I remember her saying something about identifying pornography sites with a statutory "dot porn" rather than "dot com" or "dot net" connotation (ie .porn). That would be a good start. I guess it would identify approximately 75% of the sites for what they are rather than hiding behind innocuous addresses. Further, removing scam sites and scam emails would leave the net a wonderful resource - which is what it should be. But... we all know that ain't gonna happen. Gary Simpson

Hi Everyone. My what a busy place! LOL -------------------------------------- Whilst I agree with your statement I don't think the law will "turn a blind eye" to those who got others involved, especially if they went to great lengths to promote it themselves. -------------------------------------- I tend to agree with you on this strongly. As you mentioned earlier (I beleive it was you), "Ignorance of the Law" is no excuse and I beleive any judge will agree with that. One should do their due diligence to ensure that what they are going to get involved in regardless of what it is, is in fact legal. Even if you think it's legal you should confirm that it is. That goes tenfold for any kind of internet marketing business where we know a large percentage of (sadly) are in fact scams.

Hi Linda, Thanks for the link. I was waiting for some news and like you, I'm not surprised. I resisted picking a side between StormPay and 12DailyPro and it was for good reasons. In several posts I suggested how 12DailyPro was able to pay the members that said they got paid but what do I know about investing. :-) You said... "I have been slammed, bashed, criticized and had my posts deleted " Just remember that you are(were) not alone. :-) Thank you for not deleting my posts from your forums. I guess a lessen learnt for me is to be more particular in where I post. Otherwise I will start to feel like I wasted my time. You mentioned ways to make money; 1) Marry it 2) Inherit it 3) Win a lottery 4) Get a job 5) Start a business I believe Investing is still on the list but realize that most people have a hard time differentiating it from gambling. As for honesty, I think it's the highest quality trait that a person can have and every wrong doing can be linked to at least one lie. Pardon me for being blunt, Your not blunt, your honest. Jack
