I know how the father feels. I once did that to my father. When he finally stopped being angry ( 1 week later ). I went home under the pretext that everything was calm. He sat me down and he told me that he loved me. He told really was upset and yet he understood. I thought to myself.... cool I'm not really in trouble and I wouldn't be punished. As we talked, which we hadn't done in a long time, it felt good. Then the look on his face started scaring me. Then all of sudden he said to me "get me a beer". When I got back he was standing and the chair I was sitting in was turned around facing the wall. As I handed him the beer, he grabbed my hand and led me to the back yard and I saw all my clothes, bed and stereo in the yard. He then said, "This is where you will sleep for two weeks for your bad grades. You will also have to do all your brother and sisters chores for one month."
When he walked away I thought this ain't so bad. After about an hour he came back out and said. " Owen, I was just kidding. You don't have to do your brothers and sisters chores." I said .. What about sleeping outside?" He said he was just joking and for me to bring my stuff in and asked if I learned my lesson to not do it again. Ofcourse I said yes.
