Hi Linda
What a lovely idea.
I have lived all my life in Melbourne, Australia. We are 15 miles from CBD, and can see the Dandenong Mountains. I live with my husband, we have been married 38 years and still in love!!! Also still at home is our 23 year old daughter and her partner. He is from Buffalo NY. They met and fell in love and he has decided to make Australia his home. i know he misses his family and friends and even sometimes the weather and the storms. (Americans can be a bit odd.) lol
Today our weather was typical for late summer temp ranged from 15 -30 deg celius. We had sun, heat, then wind rain and storms then back to sun. We cannot complain as we are in our 4th year of severe drought.
We have 4 delightful pre school grand kids. They all live near by so we enjoy spending as much time with them as possible. Once they start school, they will have their own friends and we will not see them so much. We have 4 children, oldest son and daughter both married, one son only stayed a short time here. He died from cancer at 28. We count the joy and blessings of his life. He managed to pack more into 28 years than many do in a life time. His message was that we should all live each minute to the fullest.
I love to cook and my family love to eat what I prepare. We rarely have take away and I make everything from scratch.
My dilema is always making my business my priority when I have such a fantastic family and many good friends to distract me from it. If I was my boss I would sack me for lack of productivity. One good thing about being the boss!!!
I play golf weekly at a local course which has heaps of native wild life. The score is usually bad, but the beauty of the course makes up for that.
Sorry if I have said too much. I am a bit of a chatter box when I get started. Lovely to learn a little about you all and I look forward to reading more.
Happy International Friendship Week.
