Veterans Help People
4/16/2017 4:35:25 AM
Since resigning from 17+ years of federal employment (Apr 1987 - Dec 2004),
I have coach untold scores of individuals to use a computer for the first time at
public libraries ...

I can not express the joy and awe of witnessing new online users, own their new
skill ... many still look me up to see what I am up to ...

This community is the best in the WORLD for discovering and developing one's
talent ... there is so much wisdom here ...

I am a Vietnam Era Veteran; have been a community member for about a dozen years
and love to PROVE how "free" has value

Example ...

  • back in the Veterans Dom Program, I gave away free email accounts to several veterans ... one Veteran in particular, signed up for an educational program with his FREE Adlandpro account and have earned two technical certificates (one in small engine repair) now self-employed re-conditioning abandoned lawn mowers
He makes new working units assembling functional pieces from similar makes and models

... similar to what car mechanics do with cars (engine from a wreck body car to a similar car whose motor blew up)

... this Veteran did work on cars when he was younger (can no longer keep up with car repairs due to rheumatoid arthritis in his hands

... not giving up he's using his transferable skills from auto-mechanics to small engine mechanics (riding & push lawn mowers)

... he accrues lots of metal which is another side-line earning for scrap metal
*** it is amazing what metal welders can do with metal

Free email; helped Veteran get certified and is earning ....

Veterans generally help anyone, especially "the homeless"
