California Gets a Trillion Gallons in Fresh Rainwater and Tosses it in the Ocean

California just received enough fresh rainwater to entirely end the drought and still set some aside for later, but they still continue to dump water in the ocean for a bait fish.

Liberals have a tendency to do more harm than good, especially when it comes to micromanaging the environment. Every year, California sends full amounts of rainwater out into the ocean.

A giant swath of what used to be called, “the breadbasket of the world” is a desert because Sacramento with the help of Washington refuses to divert water to the farmland.

They got a lot of water this last week, yet with the constant releasing of extra water out the Delta into the ocean, it will not be long before it is all gone.

They have saved over 350 Billion Gallons of water, but are already discussing excuses to release it and lower the water level in the reservoirs. The series of storms already has added 33 billion gallons of water to Lake Tahoe alone.

When will Californian’s wake up and remove the ultra-liberal powerhouse in Sacramento? It has been going on for years now and no one can seem to change this water management method? Turn the water back on in the southern San Joaquin Valley?

It will be so sad to watch much of this water blessing California received be poured right into the ocean over the next few months.

Representative Devin Nunes, (CA) described the San Joaquin Valley situation in the WSJ back in 2009.

“Tens of thousands of people have been tossed out of work—the town of Mendota alone has an unemployment rate of about 40%—and the lines for food donations stretch down streets. The reason? There isn’t enough water to go around this year, and the Obama administration is drawing up new reasons to divert more of it from farms and people and into the San Francisco Bay. Today the San Joaquin Valley is being transformed into a dust bowl. Hundreds of thousands of acres are fallow, while almond and plum trees are being left to die in the scorching sun.”
