Hee Hee Hee, gotta love it (synchronicity). Most anything cream filled to me is yucky. But, if it is made with Cream Cheese, that is a totally new ball game. I love anything filled with a Cream Cheese filling. This isn't per say a healthy desert, but it is mighty fine tasting!! Cinnamon Cream Sticks 1 loaf soft thin sliced bread (my grandma made it with white bread) 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened 1/4 cup sugar 1 egg yolk 1/2 cup butter, melted 1 teaspoon cinnamon 3/4 cup sugar
Directions:
1 Cut the crust off the bread and flatten with a rolling pin. 2 Mix the cream cheese, sugar and egg yolk. 3 Spread the filling on the bread, and roll up. 4 Mix cinnamon and sugar. 5 Dip sticks in melted butter, and then dip in cinnamon sugar mix. 6 Sticks can be frozen at this time. 7 Place on greased baking sheet, and bake at 325 degrees for about 15-20 minutes, or until lightly browned.
