The Tax Season tradition begins in January and ends in April of each year. Did you know that the tax tradition originated from the Holy Bible. This is the biblical account.

Jesus Christ said,
"This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing." (Romans 13:6).

The Holy Bible says,
If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue;...(Romans 13:7).
Let no debt remain outstanding...(Romans 13:8).

DID JESUS CHRIST PAY TAXES?

The Holy Bible says,
After Jesus and his disciples arrived in Capernaum, the tax collectors came to Peter and asked. "Doesn't your teacher (Jesus Christ) pay the temple tax?" (Matthew 17:24).

"Yes, he does," he replied...(Matthew 17:25).

Jesus said to him (Peter) "...take it (four-drachma coin) and give it to them (the tax collectors) for my tax and yours." (Matthew 17:27).

It is biblically evident that Jesus Christ was required to pay temple tax, why then are churches today tax exempted, under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS tax-exemption status?
