The twins were born on either side of the New Year to Maribel and Luis Salgado at San Diego's Kaiser Permanente Zion Medical Center. Jaelyn arrived first, at 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31, and Luis followed on her heels at 12:02 a.m., Jan. 1, 2016. Jaelyn was born at 4 lbs., 15 oz., while Luis weighed in at 5 lbs., 9 oz.
