Yep, it does for long periods of time. It is a good idea to change activities ... every 45 minutes. As administrative support for 17+ years and an injured back at the age of 18; it is also a good idea NOT to sit all the way back in a chair, unless one is lounging with feet elevated. Sit on the edge, good posture and NOT cross legs ... feet flat on the floor (change from heals to flat shoes at desk).
