“The Season of Light”

Today, December 16, 2014 at sunset is the first day of Chanukah. This begins the Jewish celebration of the Festival of Lights. One ritual of this season is the first lighting of the candle of the Menorah. The menorah is a symbol of Divine Light spreading throughout the world. It is one ritual, ceremony or service observed at this time of year, which brings its participants to the state of being connected to Source. When we look inside any ritual we’ll see a light, active and vibrant light that gravitates towards darkness and looks to shine in every black corner in order to reveal the Truth.

So, as we turn the ritual of lighting the menorah inside out see the menorah as streams of light. The Source of Light that reveals the truth for us and about us. It is the visual reminder of our being connected to Source.

The Source or Spirit we connect to, I call God. The Menorah is the symbol kindling a flame. The menorah’s flames increase each night, the metaphysical light that is created with this ritual also gains energy and potency. The menorah is lit at sunset. The inner light, just as the outer light, has an affinity towards darkness and always seeks to illuminate the darkness.

Whatever ritual you practice during this Season of Light let it shine forth from within you and illumine your path to reveal the Truth of your being. The truth of Oneness, Wholeness and Divine Perfection is illumined by the Light.
