“I Sit Still and Breathe in Peace”

Marilyn O’Leary, RScP

Marilyn Oleary, RScP - Practice of Gratitude

In the midst of little fears and anxieties that are truly First World “problems,”

I sit still and breathe in peace.

I remember that peace is all around me, and most importantly, within me, expressed as me.

If I choose to be, I am the embodiment of peace.

I breathe peace in, and then breathe peace out to my world.

Breathing in brings me to the present, to the awareness that divine spirit is in me.

Breathing out reminds me that I am connected to, and one with, all others in the world.

I can do that by having peaceful thoughts, by accepting what is, and by letting go of outcomes.

I know that I am divinely guided, that every step of every voyage is guided, that my choices are guided to

I know that peace truly does begin with me.

I decide if my life is going to feel peaceful.

steer me to my highest good.

I affirm a life of joy and delight.

I see and understand the miracle of life, of being, of experiencing.

I am grateful for the gift of life and for all that life has brought to me.

I’m grateful for all the blessings that have come my way, that I experience at this moment in the present

as heaven.

Heaven is here and now when I remember to step into it.

I accept peace as my birthright, and I offer peace as my gift.

And so it is.
