Follow The Money on Bergdahl Story - Brad Thor w/ Megyn Kelly

Brad Thor (NY Times Best-Selling Author) joins Megyn Kelly to share the latest updates from Army Times that reports Bowe Bergdahl may have walked off more than once.

Should we have traded the starting 5 for the Taliban for Bowe? Please share your opinions and thoughts.

Bergdahl Comrades: 'He Is Not a Hero'

Two members of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's unit in Afghanistan spoke to AP about the recent prisoner exchange, and they described Bergdahl as a 'deserter in a time of war.' (June 5)

June 2nd, 2014 • Two members of Bowe Bergdahl's platoon unanimously declared him a deserter in an interview with Fox News host Megyn Kelly. Bergdahl spent five years with the Taliban before being exchanged by President Obama for five terrorist leaders being held at Guantanamo Bay.

Cody Full and Gerald Sutton, men who served in Bowe Bergdahl's platoon, spoke out in an interview with Megyn Kelly tonight. They described Bergdahl as an unequivocal deserter whose actions led to the deaths of other soldiers. Full said he heard Bergdahl "talking about the terrain extensively" and talking to the Afghan national police with a clear "agenda" in mind.

He told Kelly, "He did not serve the United States with honor. We all took an oath. He violated his oath when he deserted us and put other Americans in jeopardy."

Sutton said that he doesn't want to see someone like Bergdahl "hailed as a hero" when he should be court-martialed. Kelly pointed out how President Obama emphasized the importance of leaving no one behind. Full agreed with that sentiment, but said Bergdahl needs to be held accountable for his actions anyway.

WAKE UP AMERICANS STOP WORRYING ABOUT THE WORLD.

YOURS is under attack!

BREAKING: Newspapers in Central America Advertising Obama's Open Borders For Illegals to US

Published: .

Every day, thousands of illegals are flooding our borders at a cost of $252 per illegal to US taxpayers. Just wait until we're paying for their housing, food and health care! Mexico Train

Newspapers in El Salvador and Honduras are promoting policies by the Obama administration that defer deportation to minors brought to the United States as children by their parents — known as "Dreamers" — and those that are housing illegal children at military bases in the South and West.

"Almost all agree that a child who crossed the border illegally with their parents, or in search of a father or a better life, was not making an adult choice to break our laws, and should be treated differently than adult violators of the law," Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson is quoted in a story about a new two-year extension of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Act published by Diario El Mundo in El Salvador.

Signed by President Barack Obama in 2012, the law grants temporary legal status to many young illegal immigrants, ending the threat of deportation for at least two years.

The policy, however, does not entitle the immigrants to state services. The law was renewed for two more years.

"With the renewal of DACA, we act according to our values and code of this great nation," Johnson said. "But the biggest task of comprehensive immigration reform is yet to come."

Meanwhile, La Prensa of Honduras discusses in a report how as many as 500 illegal minors are being housed at the Naval Base Ventura County in Southern California.

"The children will be accommodated for between three and four months, while their parents or relatives are located in the United States," the report says.

"The administration of President Barack Obama has acknowledged he faces a serious crisis for the continuous arrival of children, mostly Central Americans, who are illegally entering the country on the border with Mexico."

Besides Mexico and Honduras, the report notes that many of the children are coming from Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua.

"During their stay, in addition to accommodations and food, children receive English classes, play sports and participate in targeted programs while immigration authorities contact their families," the La Prensa report says.

On Monday, the Obama administration said that it would begin housing as many as 1,200 illegal minors at the Army base in Fort Sill in Oklahoma.

The plan was attacked last week by Oklahoma Republicans, who accused the administration of not giving them sufficient notice and that it would strain limited resources.

A similar shelter for that has accommodated about 1,820 minors over nearly four weeks has been operating at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

Housing the illegals cost American taxpayers $252 per child per day.

The deluge of illegal immigrants is causing a burden on the border states of Texas and Arizona, and officials have been transporting children from south Texas to Arizona and leaving them at various locations, including holding centers and bus stations.

Are 97% of Scientist Wrong? About the Cause of Global Warming and the Glacier Melts.

Study: West Antarctic Glacier Melt Due To Volcanoes, Not Global Warming

A new study by researchers at the University of Texas, Austin found that the West Antarctic Ice Sheet is collapsing due to geothermal heat, not man-made global warming.

Researchers from the UTA’s Institute for Geophysics found that the Thwaites Glacier in western Antarctica is being eroded by the ocean as well as geothermal heat from magma and subaerial volcanoes. Thwaites is considered a key glacier for understanding future sea level rise.

UTA researchers used radar techniques to map water flows under ice sheets and estimate the rate of ice melt in the glacier. As it turns out, geothermal heat from magma and volcanoes under the glacier is much hotter and covers a much wider area than was previously thought.

“Geothermal flux is one of the most dynamically critical ice sheet boundary conditions but is extremely difficult to constrain at the scale required to understand and predict the behavior of rapidly changing glaciers,” UTA researchers wrote in their study, which was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

The geothermal heat under the glaciers is likely a key factor in why the ice sheet is currently collapsing. Before this study, it was assumed that heat flow under the glacier was evenly distributed throughout, but UTA’s study shows this is not the case. Heat levels under the glacier are uneven, with some areas being much hotter than others.

“The combination of variable subglacial geothermal heat flow and the interacting subglacial water system could threaten the stability of Thwaites Glacier in ways that we never before imagined,” lead researcher David Schroeder said in a press release.

“It’s the most complex thermal environment you might imagine,” echoed co-author Don Blankenship “And then you plop the most critical dynamically unstable ice sheet on planet Earth in the middle of this thing, and then you try to model it. It’s virtually impossible.”

Scientists and environmentalists have been pointing to Antarctica’s collapsing western ice sheet as further evidence the planet is warming. NASA glaciologist Eric Rignotrecently found that the western ice sheet collapse is “unstoppable” and could dramatically raise sea levels.

“The highest storm surge from Hurricane Sandy, or Superstorm Sandy, was just under 13 feet, and a whole lot of places it was 10 feet or less,” Penn State University glaciologist Richard Alley told Mother Jones’ Chris Mooney in a podcast.

“And we’re looking at 11 feet, or something like that, from West Antarctica,” Alley said. “Plus a little thermal expansion [water expanding as it gets warmer] and some mountain glacier melting that are already on the table. And so you can sort of think of the storm surge of Hurricane Sandy, something vaguely in that neighborhood for most of the coastline of the world.”

But reports of the western ice sheet’s collapse comes as Antarctic ice sheets continue to break records. At the end of May, Antarctic sea ice extent reached the highest level since measurements began in 1979.

Sea ice extent reached nearly 13 million square kilometers — 10.3 percent above the 1981-2010 climatological average of 11.7 million square kilometers. The previous record was 12.7 million square kilometers set in 2010.
