Hi Stephen, Thank you once again. It will be awhile before I get my record label going, however I won't give up on it. Shirley and I have put in too much time and money in the music business to give up without a fight. In the past ten years we put together four or five Talent Showcases in the Indianapolis area, plus we had our own music show on cable T.V. for a couple of months. I plan on doing that once again, however this time I will plan better and recruit more help. We are both committed to helping people to get ahead in the music field while at the same time being a lot more honest with them then people have been with us. I will be looking for Record Label executives as well as radio station DJ's to head up a panel of judges for the Talent Showcases. Depending on how long it takes to set everything up, I will have either one or two Showcases this year. I plan to do a lot of advertising on this project and will set up interviews with Record Labels and Radio Stations to lay down some ground rules for the project. Also, on our first Talent Showcase, I plan to have one of our past clients Chuck Kesilman from Shreveport, La as a guest performer. Chuck was sited as being the World's Greatest 12 string Beatles Guitarist by Julian Lennon, son of the late John Lennon of Beatles Fame.
Chuck recently headlined a show in Shreveport, La and around the same time had his first album released in the U.S. If you have talent, patience, and conviction, you can make it in the music business, but you can't give up.
Along the same lines, Shirley has two songs that have been published. One is called "Time" (Country/Gospel) and the other is "A Touch of Beauty" (Contemporary) We are looking for new singers for both of these songs.
GOD BLESS YOU
~Mike~
