One bride for 5 brothers ?

One bride for 5 brothers ???? Its true !!!!

One more real episode of Mahabharat !!

Living in one room and marvel by them able to get along with just one wife satisfying the sexual needs - poor wife having to endure Grooms' sex-rotation in a one-room shack!!!

1.jpg

A YOUNG mum who has five husbands who are all BROTHERS.
Rajo Verma, 21, lives in a one-room shack with all five,
sleeping with a different one each night on a rota.
The housewife has no idea which one is the father of her toddler son.
She said: Initially it felt a bit awkward. But I don't favour one over the other.
Husband Guddu, 21 the first to make her his bride insisted:
We all have sex with her but I'm not jealous. We're one big happy family.
The couple got hitched in an arranged Hindu marriage four years ago
and he remains her only official spouse.

But the custom in their village is she had to take as husbands his brothers Bajju, 32, Sant Ram, 28, Gopal, 26, and Dinesh who married her last year when he turned 18.
Eldest brother Bajju said: I consider her my wife and sleep with her like my brothers.
Rajo cooks, cleans and looks after 18-month-old Jay while her hubbies go out to work in Dehradun, northern India.
She said of the ancient tradition, called polyandry: My mother was also married
to three brothers so when I got wed I knew I had to accept all of them as my husbands.
I sleep with them in turn. We don't have beds, just lots of blankets on the floor.
I get a lot more attention and love than most wives.

My view: Though i have shared it here but my personal and religious view don't permit such type of customs.

Hi Hafiz,

Obviously their tradition is tolerant to such a .......... weird communion.
To me personally fascinated is how religions do not choose weapons, but people also do not hesitate to do the same.

I appreciate a modest part of the tradition in which I was born, without following it.

I must be heartfelt and tell that I do not see any difference between polyandry and polygynya. Sharia Law allows up to four wives, and I was always compassionate as to the husband as to the wives.

I am fond of Hindu dialectics and philosophy, specially of Lord Subramanya, who also has two spouses/consorts.

I can't judge if this is right or wrong. If I wished to marry to 5 men, or to be 1 of 4 wives, I'd do that at any cost, or die. Also, if I could be forced to do that, without loving them or him, again I'd rather die.

Hafiz, thank you for sharing.

A woman can marry 5 or more people one by one but not at the same time. Because the question of paternity of the child will be great issue if have multiple husband at the same time as this woman is having already. This is not permitted in my religion also.

Hafiz and Branka,

They all married according to most sacred Hindu scripture Mahabharatta, where such practice between Arjuna and all of his four brothers to Draupadi is described.
In doing so, they have only been following tradition.

Don't take is as humiliating to a tradition plz. Mahabharat is an epic. We don't know what actually happened long long ago, but before choosing a custom and tradition , we should criticise them. This custom against nature. There were such weird custom in hindu religion. Some of them are removed now. One of them were 'Sotidaho protha" where the alive wife was subjected to burn(must) with deceased husband. So cruel.
