"Choose a job you love and you will not have to work a day in your life" (Confucius)
Hi Roger,
I can see already that this is going to be a great thread. All three paintings show a much better time in life where times were much better than they are today. The fruit was clean, the friendship was real, and the water was pure. I wonder what happened to those good old days? You can also tell by these paintings that they were all painted by skill of course, but most importantly by love.
GOD BLESS YOU
~Mike~

Quote:Wonderful art, Roger; I am amazed at the quality of contemporary artists and their works. In an unassuming way, mostly displaying simple and beautiful scenes of daily life, but always using a perfected technique not devoid of style, they can be said to be setting a world-wide standard for all artists sincerely wishing to do their best by really pleasing the eyes and the emotions of the viewer.By the way, this is a work by a great Chinese pretty-unknown living artist, Han-Wu Shen. Can you believe, it's a painting! You can see him and his works here: http://www.artrenewal.org/pages/artist.php?artistid=135 (You may click on the image to enlarge it)
Indeed staggering accuracy. The water is unbelievable.

That's true Michael.
I'm sure better times will return.
Our task is to help and remind people how good things were.

The Joey Velaasco is titled Heal Our Land. Appropriate given not just because of the raging conflict in Mindanao but the deep wounds, economic, political, and social that mark Philippine society.
