Prayer Dedicated to Tim Shahen

By Rev Martha Quintana, Senior Minister

Rev Martha Quintana - Senior Minister - Rio Grande Center For Spiritual Living

Today’s prayer is dedicated to Tim Shahen who left Friday evening to find his greater glory.

Lifting up my heart, I find that the only way to search for the Divine is through the heart. I use my love as radar to find God, the only essence that can comfort me; the only essence that can lift me higher than before. My heart penetrates the veil and I feel Its Essence.

There is Only One Power, One Good, One Beautiful Happiness. It is that Essence I call God. It is that Goodness that has always been and always will be. It is contained in this moment, and I relish It knowing that It is Love, Grace, Goodness, Abundance, Health, Happiness, and Joy. It is Life.

I call It by Text-Enhance">forward and step into Its Power knowing that as I do, I am calling forth my own power. I am standing in the middle of the most sacred, most divine, and most powerful essence there is and I know I am made of It – now and always. My life is love, grace, goodness, abundance, health, happiness, and joy. I am life.

As I know this for me, I know this for Tim Shahen. I call Tim’s power forward knowing that as I do, I am calling forth his mystical, magical good. He is now standing in the most sacred, most divine, and most powerful essence there is and he is made of It – now and always. His essence is love, grace, goodness, abundance, health, happiness, and joy. He is life.

Tim’s work on the physical plane is finished, and I affirm and declare the most beautiful existence there is for him. He is loved beyond his wildest imagination. The love Lori, his family, this community has for him now carries him to his new land and to his new awareness of himself. He is absolved of any mistakes or misfortune in this lifetime. He is forgiven and he forgives. He is no longer weighed down by anything on this physical plane and he flies free with joy, no longer burdened. His joy, his laughter rings out as he meets family and friends on the other side of the veil. He is pure and perfect love and he revels in it.

On this side, Lori, Tim’s family and friends are held in the arms of God. Their comfort comes from the deep love and peace that they share with Tim. He continues to live and he continues to be remembered in their hearts. He is part of the fabric of their lives, this community, and none of us will ever be the same because he lived.

I give thanks for Tim and for the Rio Grande Center for Spiritual Living. I give thanks for his vision, his brilliance, and the love he gave all of us. I am so grateful our paths crossed and that he showed all of us a deeper way to love.

It is with this grateful and open heart that I release these words back into God from where they originated.

And So It Is.

Amen.
