100 Friends: Really?

This may come to some surprise to you, but this hole idea with 100

friends needs some real work done with it. First, as far as it was introduced,

this is only a place to volunteer to be added to the list.

100 volunteers is a starting point and right now it looks like you need 150

or more, to get some sort of final list.

This is what I am seeing. Now please keep in mind, if you know me and

and we have communicated together in other forums you can rest assured

that this is not regarding you.

I am not sure on your end but everyone that has entered this forum with their

request to be a volunteer, I have tried to send them a friends request,

and most have failed.

1. Does not have a public profile, so no communication unless they accept.

(and so far, not willing to accept friend request)

2. Others are just not accepting, some are, most are not.

3. They are looking for a easy solution to getting more friends to send advertisements.

4. What are they really going to bring to the table?

5. Maybe they have stopped all messages and don't see any notifications!

8. If people are not willing to communicate with you and accept friends request,

should they be able to get friends with out doing any work?

Keep in mind that it is not my intention to say that they should or should not be

included in the automatic "Get 100 Friends".

I just keep thinking, if they are not willing to accept friends request,

keep their profile locked,

does not respond to communications,

never seen them until now,

then what it the real reason they are here?

Here is an idea: Why not send a message to all volunteers and say something like:

Thank you for volunteering but before you are added to the final list,

please make sure that you have taken the steps to be qualified.

Here is the list:

Second, ask them to say in their own words,

why they should be included and what do they plan on bring

to value to the new members?

You mention when the list gets to 100 the feature would be added.

What happen to the filtering of it?

I agree with Mark on this subject. During the first week of this thread, I sent friendship invitations to people I didn't know and gave them advice on filling in their profile and starting a forum. I haven't seen many or any of these unknown people even posting in other peoples' forums since they only posted here and not in any other forums. The lack of activity of these unrecognizables is a big clue about how much help they are going to give their 100 friends. None.
