Hi Roger,

Sorry I goofed again. If I would read what you said, oh well, look over me ok
Here is a painting I have hanging in the center of my house,

This painting means patience to me. The door with no handle. You must open up yourself to receive what The Father is offering you. The colors are of light, which presents the warmth.

Myrna,

That's lovely and also very interesting.

Holman Hunt painted this The light of the world in the mid 1800's. Yours is obviously a painting based upon this and painted by somebody who loved it.

This is my wife's favourite painting.

There is promise, hope and light in the picture. A lovely image.

Roger

Hi Roger!

Like always, great idea!

Here is my contribution:

, Chilean, Painting, Medium, Skyline, Surrealism, Utopian
Details about this picture

He is one of my favorite painters and inspirations, with very original approach to decadence and utopia.

Chilean-born artist Roberto Matta was an international figure whose worldview represented a synthesis of European, American and Latin American cultures. As a member of the Surrealist movement and an early mentor to several Abstract Expressionists, Matta broke with both groups to pursue a highly personal artistic vision. His mature work blended abstraction, figuration and multi-dimensional spaces into complex, cosmic landscapes. Matta's long and prolific career was defined by a strong social conscience and an intense exploration of the his internal and external worlds.

Branka,

Wow.

Now that is different.

I have always wanted to paint surrealist paintings and this is certainly surreal. I need to study this image further. There appear so many images but needs much interpretation.

Thank you Branka. I amk sure that this will keep us busy trying to solve the image.

Very subtle colours too.

Roger

Dear Roger and friends,

This is one of my best favorites ever. So far I have not been able to think of only one best favorite, sorry (you may click on the image to enlarge it).

Hugs,

Miguel

Jan Brueghel the Elder - Christ Preaching at the Sea-Port

Luis,

I understand your choice.

The dutch painters at that time had perfected a style that had crispness, detail and wonderful understanding of their materials and how to represent light.

As was the thing at that time, Christ and his followers were depicted in ways that the people could identify with.

The detail goes on and on. Ships in the distance, all of the personal stories of those present are to be seen.

The colours are wonderful. After seeing many dutch paintings at Kenwood House this past summer I respect Bruegel even more. Great choice.

Roger,

I was in doubt if would be proper to bring in this surreal image. But then, studying lately ingenuity incorporated in HUMAN EYES (which are cosmic relays and antennas :) ), my doubt was ceased. Surrealists have opened the gates of the digital & nano technology & reality to the rest of humans, and our wish to attune to the "image" is enough powerful to enable us to SEE what could be found there. Things are stunningly beautiful and endless explorable :).
