Well, a new week is upon us, and yet again, a new diet plan has hit the marketplace. Sometimes it seems that there are more diet plans in existence than actual foods and if weight loss is your goal, it can literally make you bang your head against the wall wondering which one to choose! (Hey…the “Banging your head against the wall” diet…surely that burns some calories…hmmm…)
Now, just because there ARE scams out there and a new diet program pops into existence it seems every week, it doesn’t mean all of them are bad. In fact, some include some pretty credible science and claims and are just inexpensive and easy enough to try that just about anyone can give them a whirl to test them out. Such is the case with the newly touted “African Mango Diet.”
This one has been given a boost thanks to the high profile endorsement of one Dr. Oz. You know Dr. Oz…he was catapulted to fame via his appearances on the Oprah Winfrey show and is now the start of his own DR. OZ SHOW which features him in hospital scrubs giving us no-nonsense advice on staying healthy, losing weight, and living longer.
Back in September of 2010, Dr. Oz did a segment about the African Mango, a fairly newly discovered fruit that he believes is the answer some have been looking for to shed those unwanted pounds and live a healthier, longer life. He actually touted is a “breakthrough supplement” and even a “Miracle in your medicine cabinet.” WOW…those are some pretty bold statements, especially coming from a legitimate physician and one as recognized as Dr. Oz. He does go on to warn folks, however, that not all African Mango Diets are created equal.
Whenever a new diet craze hits, there are probably twice as many companies that rush to market with something that CLAIMS to have ingredients that it really doesn’t. This is certainly the case with the African Mango Diet. Dr. Oz warns those interested in checking out this new diet to make sure they purchase a product that contains Irvingia Gabonensis, which is the key extract of the African Mango fruit.
MAKE SURE TO Read the ingredients and do your homework, because if you get the real deal, you may just lose a few pounds yourself. The claims were substantiated on the good Dr’s show when one of the other doctors on the show, Dr. Tanya Edwards, tried African Mango Diet pills for one week. Much to her surprise, she lost a total of 7 pounds without having changed anything about her diet or exercise routine. That seems a pretty sizable amount of weight to lose for only taking a single pill.
So, what is so special about this African Mango Diet anyways?
The cool thing about this particular diet is that its foundation is not chemicals, but simply a really healthy fruit. In fact, the real health benefits of this wonder fruit comes from the extract of its seeds. The African Mango is found in Western Africa and it has been consumed and its seeds used in cooking and for medicinal purposes for hundreds of years. It has been discovered to have a significant effect on lowering total cholesterol and more specifically low density lipoproteins (the bad cholesterol) and even helping people lose weight as well. This is possible because the fruit’s seeds are high in fiber as well as a combination of healthy fats. The fiber can help you feel full as well as help to remove excess fat and cholesterol from your blood. The healthy fats are great for removing cholesterol as well. More research is being done on the different ingredients found in the fruit and its seeds but so far, the research has been promising. Take a look: www.getepx.com/sunshine
