Boldly and Often

By Rev. Dean Beaty 9/25/11

Hebrews 4:15-16 “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” (KJV)

If we only come in prayer

When we have a load of care.

Then our fellowship with God

Is very likely highly flawed.

The Father wants our fellowship

So the do not let it slip.

He invites us, as we read,

To come boldly when in need.

He promises us that He will hear

Anytime that we draw near.

Never are our needs too great

So then friend do not wait.

May I Always

By Rev. Dean Beaty 2/5/12

Luke 10:27 “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,

and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind;

and thy neighbor as thyself.” (KJV)

May I always walk with Jesus, ever only at Thy side.

Thou art faithful in Thy blessings for my need God will provide.

Never has He failed a promise found within His Holy Word.

Therefore I can lean upon Him knowing that my prayer is heard.

(Chorus)

Thank you Father for Thy mercy and Thy grace Thou givest me.

I am looking for Thy coming; there with Thee eternally.

May I always show Thy kindness in the path I walk today.

Many are that need forgiveness. Speak through me along the way.

Telling of Thy Son from glory, sent to earth from heaven above.

Bless the words I speak to others as I tell of Thy great love.

May I always love the sinner as Thy love was given me.

Pointing them to grace in Jesus, through redemption full and free.

Oh the glories of salvation knowing sins are washed away.

I will praise Thy name forever for the price that Thou didst pay.

May I always give to Thee Lord all my soul and mind and heart.

May I never hold back any, but to Thee give every part.

Thou didst give Thy life to save me with Thy blood on Calvary.

Greater love has no one given as the love Thou gave to me.

Only God is Able to Condemn

By Rev. Dean Beaty 2/8/12

Matthew 10:28 “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not

able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both

soul and body in hell.” (KJV)

It is God who finally judges. It’s also God who can condemn.

Since the devil can’t condemn us, there’s no reason to fear him.

Eternal hell was not created by the devil and his kin.

Only God has power eternal. It’s only God who can condemn.

God has warned us of the devil who can roar just like a lion.

Satan tells the weary sinner, it’s up to them to keep on try’en.

That by being good should never fear the prospects of life’s end.

God’s Word says that all have sinned and it’s God who will condemn.

Though Satan’s like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

But as in an allegory, he’s not a lion nor has that power.

He may be a master liar and the father of the lie.

Though his ways are to deceive us, he has no power to make us die.

When you awake to this conclusion it brings peace within the heart.

Life and death are God’s dominion. Satan does not have a part.

When speaking about condemnation only God is involved here.

When one puts their faith in Jesus, there is peace and never fear.

Why? The Psalmist Asked

By Rev. Dean Beaty 2/16/12

Psalm 10:1-2 “Why standest thou afar off, O LORD?

why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble? The wicked

in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in

the devices that they have imagined.” (KJV)

“Why standest Thou afar off?”

This, the Psalmist wondered oft.

Why hidest Thou in time of trouble,

When all around seems but rubble?

He wondered where his God could be.

He wondered when his God would see.

Oh I know that God sees all

But where’s the answer when I call?

The wicked seek not after God.

Their mouth contains deceit and fraud.

We wonder why sinners prevail

Or is it that our faith is frail?

They have murdered the innocent

And of their sins they won’t repent.

They lie in wait to snare a soul

And yet our God is in control.

God that helps the fatherless,

Hear my prayer, O Lord and bless.

The Lord will cause His ear to hear

And He will judge both far and near.

II Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name,

shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn

from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will

forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (KJV)

Putting Our Trust in the Lord

By Rev. Dean Beaty 2/22/12

Psalm 11:1 “In the LORD put I my trust: how say

ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?”

Job 13:15 “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him:

but I will maintain mine own ways before him.” (KJV)

“In the LORD put I my trust.”

God will try the righteous and just.

Though I am tried God’s love is great.

But the wicked, his soul doth hate.

On the wicked God rains a snare.

Fire and brimstone also come there.

This is the portion of their cup.

Judgment will come when it’s filled up.

If the foundations be destroyed

And justice is not deployed,

The presence of the righteous

Shall reestablish the just.

Shall I flee to the mountain,

Fearing the wicked have won?

Stand fast and trust in the Lord,

We’ve not yet seen God’s great sword.

The Lord will triumph at last.

On Him our trust must be cast.

If you’ll read the last chapter

You will see what’s to come after.
