Myrna,

I have thought about this and I think that you may well be right.

Venus seems a good bet.

Prometheus came back to life at night so this coiuld well be early morning.

Great question.

I wonder what Miguel thinks?

Roger

Sorry friends, I am not well versed in Greek mithology, just a little bit, and I am afraid I don't have a really informed opinion. However, I love the star and from its size and position in the sky, it could certainly be Venus.

Hugs,

Miguel

Hi again friends,

How do you like this one? Not a specifically known landscape, but maybe a composition made from different views sketched during Thomas Cole's trips as I read most of the Hudson River School artists used to do.

Thomas Cole - The Subsiding of the Waters of the Deluge (oil on canvas, 1829)

Wonderful light contrast.

This has a definite feeling of recovery after a storm.

Hi Miguel and Roger,
You tell who the artists are here, because I thought this maybe at sunrise. How the light fog is lifted when the sun finally shines through. Or is it what the observer sees? Different strokes for different folks
