Thank you so very much for this wonderful insight into "what we need and what we desire".
Yes, it is true we desire things that most likely we really truly do not need or could probably live our whole lives without and not miss.
However, my Grandmother told me that "everything that glittered was not gold" and when we really want something bad enough we will work or fight to obtain it.
It is that toiling that makes us appreciate what we have obtained through the hard work.
Like a butterfly who has to struggle to exit the cocoon - the fight gives the butterfly the strength to be able to fly away once it has exited.
Once we have obtained something in life that we have worked really hard at to obtain we can feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction and realize that we have just emerged from striving to achieving and that is something beautiful.
Just like that butterfly who has emerged into something of beauty.
