I remember admiring this awesome artist's paintings a couple of months ago, when you first featured him. They strangely reminded me those of the great Flemish painters of old, particularly Jan Brueghel the Elder. I may be wrong of course, but I believe this Flemish painter's landscapes may have been an important element in his artistic formation.
Another think that immediately caught my eye was the highly poetic content in most of his paintings. I don't know others, but to me, a poetic urge is the main ingredient in any artist's spirit and if evidenced in his or her works, apart from all other necessary qualities (like dexterity in execution, dominion of composition and color, and so on), then that will make those works really special.
In my view, this artist not only possesses all those qualities and ingredients but also a poetic spirit. And that makes his works really special - at least to me.
