Armor Of God, A Gentler and Kinder World
1/21/2012 3:45:58 PM
I found this scripture interesting, Ephesians 6:10-18, and wanted to share my thoughts on this topic, the armor of god. “Be strong in the lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of god, so that when the day of evil comes you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of god.”

This refers to the armor of God, which by one description is the battle wear for Roman soldiers, and by the other description includes divine spiritual qualities. The soldiers of the Roman army wore this armor during battle to protect the citizens of the Holy Roman Empire from ill-will, cruelty, and hatred from hostile influences. Their battles were against “barbarians," schemers of war, and those lusting for conquest. That includes rulers, authorities, and powers living in the dark places of the world. Moreover, the warfare was against those with evil intentions to the spiritual forces in heavenly places.

The armor of God was not something to be feared as the soldiers marched down the roads, but something everyone to experience. There is a contribution that every person makes to contribute to the peace and safety of the environment. That is to put on the spiritual qualities of the armor of god. The armor includes the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, feet with gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit. The divine qualities expected of the citizens are truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and spiritual steadfastness. Those who govern with holiness expect divine qualities to blossom within their citizens.

Those who govern with holiness expect us to honor the divine presence within us.
We should honor the truth of the divine qualities that exist within us.
We should discover our righteousness in the presence of the inward divinity.
We should walk in the direction of peace, where the divinity lives within.
We should express our faith in the divine goodness of our inner being.
We should know that our salvation is found within that divine presence.
We should allow the spirit of the divine to separate us from those who oppose that divinity.

Those who govern with holiness expect the soft, moist, tender qualities of spiritual fruit to blossom within us.
Truth should flow with love, peace, faith, and perseverance.
Righteousness should be from the spirit of goodwill, kindness, joy, goodness, meekness, gentleness, self-control, and patience.
The roads we travel, the people we visit, the paths we follow should lead to peace.
Faith should exist for the divine qualities of the spiritual fruit within us.
We should know that salvation comes by living by the spirit of love, peace, faith, and perseverance.
We should allow the divine fruit of the spirit to separate us from those who oppose the goodness within.

Those who govern with holiness care for the welfare of our health.
We should convey truthfully the health of our relationship to the divinity in us, so that those who govern with holiness can respond to our health status.
We should have a righteous attitude about our health within divine qualities, so that those who govern with holiness recognize that healthy relationship.
We should feel inner peace with that divine presence, so that those who govern with holiness will see a healthy union with their mission of peace.
Our faith should convey a healthy relationship to that inner goodness, so that those who govern with holiness sees a healthy faith with their mission.
Knowing that our salvation relates to a healthy relationship with the divinity in us, inspires acts of salvation from those who govern with holiness.
When the spirit of the divine qualities separate us from those who are oppositional to that goodness, those who govern with holiness will recognize that healthy spiritual life.

Those who govern with holiness provides a safe and secure environment for the people.
When we convey truth about our safety within the divine presence, those who govern with holiness will respond to return security to us.
When we convey righteousness about desiring a safe environment while living for that divinity within, those who govern with holiness righteously defends that security.
When we convey the spirit of peace, contributing to a safe and secure environment, those who govern with holiness will respond to ensure that peace.
Those who convey faith in the security of the inner divinity will be rewarded with an environment of safety by those who govern with holiness.
Those who have separated themselves from chaos and fighting, through the spiritual fruit, will receive support for their spiritual security by those who govern with holiness.\

Those who govern with holiness expect us to accept one another with love.
We should speak the truth about one another, with love, so that those who govern with holiness will accept us.
We should have an attitude of righteousness in belonging with a divine presence, so that those who govern with holiness will accept us with righteousness.
We should live in peace with one another so that those who govern with holiness will welcome us into the family of peace.
We should express faith in the goodness of one another, so that those who govern with holiness will have faith for the goodness in us.
We should welcome the divine spirit in one another, while separating from those of inhospitable behaviors, so that those who govern with holiness will engraft us into the spiritual family.

Those who govern with holiness expect us to feel our value through the divine qualities within us.
Sharing the truth about our worth within the presence of the divine, will inspire those who govern with holiness to value us supremely.
Feeling righteous about the esteem we feel within divine qualities, will inspire those who govern with holiness to feel righteous about our esteem.
Feeling peace with our equality within the divine family, will inspire those who govern with holiness to bestow esteem on us.
Having faith in the value of the inward divinity, will inspire those who govern with holiness to bestow faith in our worth.
When we feel our worth by allowing the spiritual fruit to separate us from those who feel no spiritual esteem, will inspire those who govern with holiness to keep us among the precious ones.

Those who govern with holiness expect our self-expression to reflect the divinity within us.
We should communicate truth within divine qualities, because those who govern with holiness will communicate truth, light, to expose us.
We should communicate righteousness with the inner divinity, because those who govern with holiness will communicate their righteousness through justice.
We should communicate our desire for peace, because those who govern with holiness will communicate their intent to ensure peace.
We should communicate our faith for the goodness within, because those who govern with holiness will communicate their faith that goodness prevails.
We should communicate through the spiritual fruit, to separate us from expressing ourselves with trouble makers. Those who govern with holiness expresses themselves through that spirit to establish tranquility.

Some people deny any value for the divine presence within us. They oppose those who govern with holiness and their citizens. They express anger with the efforts of the governing authority, and are hostile to supporters. They convey an image of depression under those who govern with holiness to create sadness in the faithful. They refuse to bargain within the goodness of the people, with intent to create discontent. They refuse to accept the righteousness of the governing authority, and ignore the divine qualities of the people.

We can assess that those who govern with holiness possess the spirit of love, peace, faith, and perseverance for the people. Conversely, the diagnosis is that some people want to corrupt that divine union between those who govern and the people. We plan to honor that divine presence in us, the source of all goodness. We implement that plan by living within the soft, moist, tender qualities within us, the source of spiritual fruit. We can evaluate our success because the spirit of kindness, goodwill, joy, goodness, self-control, patience, meekness, and gentleness blossom in us. Those who govern with holiness respond to that with love, peace, faith, and perseverance.
