Hi Helen, too bad your images didn't show. :( Hope you had a good Christmas. :)
I had a wonderful day at my daughter's house and enjoyed a delicious meal but I was a good girl and did not eat too much. She had a turkey breast and made dressing using my late mom's recipe plus a cherry dessert and layered salad that were also my mom's recipes. These were dishes my mom usually only served at Christmas and Thanksgiving. Brought back a lot of precious memories.
One of my sisters has organized a family reunion for this Saturday so I'm really looking forward to that and seeing relatives I have not seen in a long time.
Hope everyone has a great day and great weekend. :)

Joe asks for 6 months of retraining for ‘Cattle Guards!'
For those of you who have never traveled to the west or south, cattle guards are horizontal steel rails placed at fence openings, in dug-out places in the roads adjacent to highways (sometimes across highways), to prevent cattle from crossing over that area.
Cattle will not cross the "guards".
A few months ago, President Obama received and was reading a report that there were over 100,000 cattle guards in Colorado. The Colorado ranchers had protested his proposed changes in grazing policies, so he ordered the Secretary of the Interior to fire half of the "cattle guards “immediately! Before the Secretary of the Interior could respond and presumably try to straighten President Obama out on the matter, Vice-President Joe Biden, intervened with a request that...before any "cattle guards" were fired, they be given six months of retraining.
'Times are hard,' said Joe Biden, 'it's only fair to the cattle guards and their families that they be given six months of retraining! '
And these two guys are running their country.
Lord, take me now!
