Hi Helen, I've been debating on whether or not to buy a Keurig that makes one cup at a time but so far I can't really justify the expense. They are a very expensive piece of equipment as are the individual cups you use in them. Hmmm.... maybe I'll put it on my Christmas wish list but the only trouble with that is you have to have been good all year. Hope you have a great week. :)

Yes, Evelyn, me too! I love good coffee, too, with preferences of one over another.
But it has to be freshly made or I don't want it.
Coffee that has been sitting for more than 20 minutes in those glass pots or over 1½ hrs in those thermos type coffee makers is not only awful but is bad for your health because the oils in coffee go rancid rather quickly and among other things, rancid oils cause cancers.
Demand fresh coffee. They charge you enough for it.
Another thought ...I've always found that the coffee made in US restaurants is rather weak. I wish they would make it a bit stronger. Usually Denny's coffee is a good strength.

I have no idea Helen if this is from the coffee industry. I know I LOVE good coffee, not just any coffee but good coffee. I have had some that actually tasted burnt and to me nothing smells better than the aroma of brewing coffee.
Quote: Hi Evelyn Great article! My only question is ...did this article come from the coffee industry, directly or indirectly?
I guess this article, if not too exaggerated, tells me why I don't have any of the problems discussed. I used to drink anywhere from 6 to 12 cups of coffee every day for years. Some days I drank so much coffee, my hands would shake so much that I had to take Lecithin capsules to control the jitters in my hands ..and probably the rest of my body although I didn't notice other 'side effects'. Lecithin, by the way, is an all natural product available in most health stores. It is made from soy beans and unfortunately now all soy is genetically modified so Lecithin has to be contaminated with pesticides. I don't need it now since I only drink about 12 oz (1 1/2 cups) per day.
I am going to steal this article and send it to all those people who, over the years, have kept telling me that coffee was not good for me and I should drink less, they said. Come to think of it, many of them are dead. They should have come with me for coffee more often :))
