Sorry about that Helen but you can at least save the recipe so you'll have it when you can get some good fresh ones. This pie is soooo good and soooo easy to make. I have made many in the past. Living here in SW Florida good fresh strawberries are available year round and I love putting them in a protein shake or making a run of freezer jam for my morning toast. :)

That's no fair! Now I am hungry for strawberries and they are not in season here until mid June. The strawberries we get from California are picked only half ripened and sometimes don't even taste like strawberries.

Local & Sweet STRAWBERRIES are here! Do you remember BigBoy Restaurants? Here's the recipe for BigBoy Strawberry Pie:
2 tablespoons cornstarch 1 cup sugar 1 cup water 1/2 package strawberry gelatin 1 baked 9 inch pie shell, cooled Whipped topping
Blend together cornstarch and sugar. Combine in saucepan with water. Cook, stirring until thick, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add gelatin. Stir until dissolves. Mix berries in gelatin before placing in pie shell. Pour into pie shell let chill 2 or 3 hours. Garnish with whipped topping. ENJOY!!!
