In one of the articles about Elvis' Jewish roots in my previous post they mention a Jewish Elvis impersonator called Elvis Shmelvis. From what I understood he's one of the top Elvis impersonators in the UK and also an orthodox Jew. An interesting combination. :)

Here's a video with Elvis Shmelvis and while I don't think he lives up to the original's "moves" his voice is quite good and very much like the king himself.

to this he has won a place in the Guiness Book of World Records and was also featured on CNN world news as making the largest physical bet in betting history!

It is always enjoyable to watch an Elvis impersonator even if he isn`t the greatest ...like this Ben guy. I don`t see, however, how this guy is so great as they say he is. He`s just ok as far as I am concerned. I liked the Schmelvis and Andy Kaufman better, didn`t you.

Hello again, Peter et al

I still like Andy Kaufman`s act best. He was Jewish, too, did you know? There are a quite a few Jews in the entertainment industry which I find surprising. Don`t ask me why. I just thought they would be more into business and such. Of course, they make entertainment into a business often which makes sense to me.

I liked Andy Kaufman's act very much too.

I'm surprised you're surprised :), there have always been many Jewish entertainers and some of them were magnificent. There are many that people will be surprised to discover that they're Jewish.
