Hi Mary Evelyn,

Have a great Thanksgiving week with your family!

That was a great quote (below)...and I think everyone would strive harder to reach their goals if they remember how short this life truly is! I heard from someone who was in a bad accident at age 46 and was resuscitated in the ambulance, and in the years since then he's said it's not the things we did that we'll think about on our deathbeds or during recovery, it's the things we didn't do when we had the chances to do them, or didn't make the opportunities to do things we dreamed about, those missed what-ifs will weigh the most heavily in our regrets.

Hello Roger

I am behind in all my emails and forums but better late than never.

There are many wonderful Muslims and that is why I am sad when I see how 1.6 billion of them and 1.6 billion before them have been deceived by one man, Muhammad. Or should I say Satan because maybe Muhammad was also deceived ...or did he choose evil?

I am writing this because I want to say this...,

The Palestinian gave an organ and others have protected Israelis, I'm sure, but none of this would be complete without mentioning that the Israelis give free medical care to many Palestinians day after day after day. They use a tirage system and the person with the most urgent medical needs is treated first ...it doesn't matter if he/she is a Israeli or a Palestinian.

If the Palestinians (Hamas and their war machine) did not have weapons and missiles of all sorts, there would be no war between them and Israel because Israel would not attack the Palestinians if Israel themselves were not being attacked. Israel is not doing this because they hate Palestinians. Nor is Israel attacking out of retaliation. Israel is trying to take away the Palestinians means of attacking Israel. In other words, they just want to drastically reduce their arms so they cannot attack Israel anymore.

On the other hand, Palestinians are attacking Israel for completely different reasons ...they want to kill Israelis because they hate them. They are not even all that interested in the land. They just want the Israelis dead. By killing them, they think they are serving God and will earn a place in 'paradise'.

Speaking of 1948, this next bit of information should give you goose bumps. In the OT of the Bible, God was very upset with Israel because they were worshipping pagan gods and committing horrific sin. He said He would drive them out of their country and scatter them to all nations. He said they would be like a people without a country. He said this about 500 years before Christ. God also said that in the latter days, He would bring them back to their country. That happened in 1948 against all odds!

God said in these times He would be their God and they would be His people.

God also said He would bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel. Maybe that is why the Palestinians are suffering ...because they certainly curse Israel EVERY DAY!

If you want to be blessed, start blessing Israel and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

We should, as you said, be praying for the innocents no matter which side they are on but we also should pray for the terrorists themselves, that God would replace their heart of hate with a heart of love not just for their own people but for all others. It's a tall order but God is up to the task ...if we only pray.

I believe Evelyn said, "It's the least we can do." Actually it is the most we can do.

God bless you.

Helen

My prayers are for the innocent.

There are innocent people suffering in both Israel and Gaza.

I have a long-time Palestinian friend who gave an organ to save an unknown Jew without even thinking about it. His family will be one of the first to be hit by any Israel invasion.

Right or wrong, the causes and the hatred go on and the innocent on both sides suffer.

My prayers are with those who work and pray for resolution who face a long and bitter struggle.

Thanks Kathleen, my son wanted to come but he can't get off work right now but he's hoping to come for a few days sometime between now and Christmas. My son-in-law told me to make a list of things I need done so I did, not a very long list but a list never the less. One of the many things I am thankful for is a loving family. I wish you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving too. :)
