There are lots of things on TV that are determental and not only do we have to be aware but parents have to be so careful of what they let their children watch because a little mind is like a sponge. Hope you have a great weekend. :)Quote:Hello everyone at the KlatchIf you remember about 2 years ago Benny Hinn's wife abruptly filed for divorce. Now there is another part to this saga that I'llbet you didn't hear much about on national tv anywhere ..or didyou? I have not watched TV for about 3 or 4 years so I don't know what's been on TV ...or what hasn't been. I do catch somenews on the internet and I get lots of emails that give me the latest but I didn't see this one until today and I didn't see it coming. If you don't want to listen to the whole hour, the news story with Hinn and his wife starts at 25 minutes (0:25:00) and goes for about 23 minutes (to 0:48:00) including a commercial. Whether you like Benny Hinn or not, I think you will like this story even if you have already heard it .... http://www.cbn.com/media/player/index.aspx?s=/archive/club/700Club062512_WSGod bless Benny Hinn and Suzanne and their family. Hi Helen, just another example of a difference of opinion. :)
Quote:Hi Evelyn I don't see anything wrong with the 700 Club. I like watching it on the internet. Go to CBN.com and click on 700 club. I mostly agree with their ideals 99.999% of the time. I'm sure they have their faults and have made mistakes. You don't get that big without mistakes, lots of them. They stick with the Bible. They have many great stories on their website. They do a lot of good throughout the world. They are on the side of Israel. Are you sure we are talking about the same organization? I can think of a lot worse things to watch than the 700 club. I'd be delighted if my kids and/or grandkids listened to the 700 club regularly.I agree with you that there is much on TV that detrimental not just to children but adults as well but the 700 Club and CBN are not one of them. Does Pat Robertson come out with some controversial stuff sometimes? Yes, he does, and he admits when he's been wrong and he apologizes on national TV. Sometimes he says things that are meant in the right spirit but they come out sounding differently. Also the regular news media loves to do a number on him and others ...and we know how biased they are. I remember the time Pat Robertson said something about Haitians being into voodoo and demonic things and it might be the cause of their troubles. He wasn't being mean; he actually sounded sad for them because he believes they would be much better off if they called upon the name of the Lord .... I believe that, too.Maybe it's Benny Hinn you don't like. I have never been quite sure what to think about him but I have never hated him. I'm leaving judgement up to God. No one has to give him money so I don't know what people are so angry about. Does he take money from little old poor ladies? Sure he does but he doesn't know which ones are the old ladies and which aren't. If he did know which envelopes came from them, what is he supposed to do? Send it back to them? That would be an insult to them. Also it gives joy to those little old poor ladies to send him a few dollars just as it gives me joy to help the girl child. You should at least listen Benny's and Suzanne's story while being interviewed by Pat Robertson. It's a great story. Benny and Suzanne are getting back together. Guess what caused their breakup in the first place. I think it is best that people hear their side of their story from their own mouths than listen to CNN who hates them and anyone who is Christian. Here's the link again since I didn't hyperlink it last time, for some reason ....http://www.cbn.com/media/player/index.aspx?s=/archive/club/700Club062512_WSGod bless you and yoursHelenQuote:Helen I too watch very little TV but I can remember a few years back I did watch the 700 Club for a little while but there were many things that came out over time that were against everything I believed so I quit watching it. Thought for the Day
You'll never have a friend if you must have one with no faults.
