It goes well with these paintings (I mean the music)

My dear Miguel,
I do not understand your question, why do you ask if the song is appropriate when the presentation of this melody is finished and it's absolutely amazing ... It's not so long ago, you sent it to me
Love
Sonja

My dear Sonja,

As you know, I was sent this power point presentation containing a lot of paintings by Leonid Afremov with the song 'Wonderful Life' as a musical background. It so obviously went well with the paintings, but at the time I had not been aware that the video was a black and white one. So in a way, I was just stating that it is the music, and not the black and white video, that goes well with the paintings.

Love you,

Miguel

See him in action!

My dear Miguel
Leonid Afremov deserves attention. It is great video. I had some idea of how he paints his pictures. Colored areas that give the complete picture. His imagination must be amazing. It has a great sense of color and light.
Thanks for the video
Love
Sonja

Yes my dear Sonja,

Certainly Leonid Afremov deserves our attention. Actually, everything you say is so true. You put into words my own first impressions of his work. I would only add he has got an absolutely original style in his painting.

All his paintings are amazing. I can not say that I like more. The perfect interplay of colors is absolutely stunning. I could look at those pictures all day and still want to see something new. It's amazing how he can realistically portray a reflection of a lamp on the sidewalk or in the rain. And those lovely as a tree full of all colors.

Again, I could underwrite all your comments.

Thank you so much for this beauty. I like to come back and enjoy the beauty all of his paintings.

You are most welcome and please, feel free to come back any time you wish. Your contribution is most appreciated.

Love,

Miguel

These are such an inspiration.
There are elements of impressionism, abstract and traditional in his paintings. One shows real freedom of line another shows accuracy of line and form. The pallette is recognisable yet totally multi-coloured.
These paintings give me some of the inspiration that I have been seeking.
Thank you.
At this stage I cannot choose a favourite.
Just wonderful

Hello Roger,

I am terribly sorry for my delay in answering.

What can I add that you have not mentioned in this post? Here inspiration is the clue. Rather than finding a personal style to impress people as many artists do, Leonid Afremov has obviously found direct inspiration in the wonderful cities that he portrays, while his style naturally grew up in the process as a by-product of his hard work. And now, as you are experiencing yourself, he is an inspiration for others in both his painting and his attitude toward art. I am so happy about that.

Thanks for your great contribution.

Miguel

Ps. By the way, I too cannot find a favorite, not yet at least.

Hi Luis,

It is so good to see you here with another artist. This gentleman is absolutely my kind of painter. He uses color, which I love. Even in the winter mood he has some color. How cool it that. Kinda helps make winter look better. lol

Dear Myrna,

How good you showed up. To me, it is so important that you have, as you always do with interesting contributions.

Your choice with this painting is also most significant, since along with a couple more, I had chosen it myself as one of my favorites. In my view, not only does this work make a lovely and exquisite portrait as taken from real life, but the way Afremov has painted the road on the foreground with bright, intense color also makes, as you say, winter look better.

Hugs,
Miguel
