Alexis at Thirteen

Our sweet girl has turned thirteen

And for her teeth no gaps between.

The sparkle in your eyes is swell.

Now your teeth sparkle as well.

I hear that Wil gets braces too,

So let me tell you what to do.

My advice, now don’t say “naw.”

Kissing may cause you lockjaw.

To avoid this catastrophe,

For two more years remain kiss free.

Cause if your braces hook to his,

You may have to stay as is.

That makes a problem without a doubt.

They may just pull your teeth right out.

Which will not make you look too good.

Then you’ll have to gum your food.
