Hello Kathleen, Thank you. I admit I have not written any poetry for about a year now - my inspirations are often spasmodic with several years in between. When I am inspired I do very much enjoy writing rhyming poetry How has your poetry writing going, I also enjoyed reading yours. My one day trip to Canada was wonderful and the scenery of the area I saw was exactly like all the pictures/photos we see but better because I see further. Metric you think in 10 very easy although I did not like kilometers and still prefer to think in miles because that is what I learned as a child. Weights I still thought in ounces and pounds but body weight is in stones (14 pounds equal 1 stone) so I have to convert back.

Congratulations, Amanda! Where are you? Your poetry was always great and on-the-spot. I've also been to Canada for 1 day in 1994 and for 2 days in 2009. It seems to be the place to go for very brief amounts of time. LOL :) My American reasoning was..."I gotta go back home, quick, before I start learning metric!" Unfortunately, it got into my head...once the brain starts learning metric, there seems to be no cure.
