RE: Poll "The proper moral purpose of one's life is the pursuit...

As natural creatures part of the self proclaimed most intelligent species known to man. We are all hard coded with morality. We know the difference between right and wrong automatically. We know the instant we do something whether it crosses those lines. Those little voices in your head are your conscience and we all have one. When we are young we haven't learned yet to ignore the voices of reason. As we grow older we justify not listening to them. Yes, they are good and bad. I remember the older cartoons where you have the Angel and the Devil on your shoulder whispering in your ears. Those were depictions of those voices of reasoning.

We can choose to listen or ignore them and this I think is the difference. Some cannot decide, some can decide which voice to listen to. The undecided create more challenges for those that can. This is why these folks make the rest of us so frustrated. We don't hesitate, we choose and move on, others dwell forever and seldom choose correctly.

So I saw no reason to let the undecided mire the results.

Hi Jim,

I didn't want to respond to this post first because you didn't provide the option "None of the above"
In my understanding, there is no "proper" or "moral" life purpose as those are left to one's interpretation.
As long as you are satisfying your ego, you will never attain your life purpose as ego will be never satisfied.

The only time your ego is not involved, is NOW. If you can live in NOW, you are reaching deepest realms of yourself as ego is not blocking it. Only deep within yourself you can find your purpose.
