Mark, I've had Elements for a year now and have found no limitations. The only limit is my imagination. It does everything that I expected it to do. I was totally impressed with the amount of capabilities it has. Of course, if you're going to make money professionally, Elements does lack some of the advanced tools, which in my opinion are difficult for the beginner to use. As you said, "the learning curve is steep".

I taught Photoshop in a Vocational College when it first was introduced. (I taught Computer Graphics for 28 years.) At first on a Mac 2e, then each year with new computers (all Macs) and the newest programs.
Programs I taught are: Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark Xpress, various Paint, Animation and CAD programs.

I have been looking into Elements 9 Plus, with adding the Essentials 3, with more editing options that work with it. I am a little concerned with what I read about only working for a year, then have to pay more money? What does that mean? Not sure why that is if I pay for the program. Can you explain and what are your thoughts with these two programs that work together as far as Creations for Image Designs, Page Headers, Background Template's, Logo's and more?

I too have a Mac and being the first one, I love it and now can't imagine using nothing other. Besides what the mac offers, I have picket up a Logo Design Program For Mac. I also have MacFlux, that is still not installed yet. That one is a hole new puppy and not ready to dive in. I have a few other projects that need to be more completed first.

I will be looking forward to talking with you more of this as you have the experience and the years that I am missing. I will tell you this. After learning how to turn one on about 3 or 4 years ( I think) ago, I can do more then most people I know that has had a computer for 10 years or more. I love to learn and I am just getting started.

Not to brag or anything like that it is just that I don't do anything half-ass.

I don't think I'll like the inside of my new PAD!
(At least it has windows and a door)

This one has a build potential to it. Pretty cool stuff. Is this some of the Elements the your program has on it? One of the issues I am seeing and having is adding some elements and blending images. Trying to make it look like it is part of the picture instead of a set of blocks. Does this program offer thousand of elements with inside of it?
