America bows before Muslim Brotherhood's rising power

The Obama Administration on Wednesday signaled that it will reestablish official ties with Egypt's rising Islamist power, the Muslim Brotherhood.

When former Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak was ousted earlier this year, the Obama Administration insisted that the Brotherhood was a fringe group, and that detractors were making too big a deal of the Islamists influence in Egyptian society.

But an unnamed White House official told Reuters that the administration has had to face facts and is now determined to "engage with all of the parties that are competing for parliament or the presidency" in Egypt.

The Muslim Brotherhood, while not actively involved in terrorism at present, has a very violent past and continues to support allied terror groups across the region. The Brotherhood also has a stated long-term goal of establishing an Islamic caliphate, first in Egypt, then stretching across the Middle East, and finally encompassing the whole world.

But first, the Muslim Brotherhood wants to see Egypt return to a state of war with Israel, an entity that it sees as a blight on the Muslim Middle East.

There is concern in Israel that if Washington can succumb to pressure to accept the Muslim Brotherhood, it may eventually open its arms to Hamas and Hizballah, too. After all, both of those groups also wield considerable political clout in their respective societies.

============================================

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at the weekend publicly announced the Obama Administration's desire to reestablish ties with Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood.

The Brotherhood responded this week by thanking Clinton, and issuing its first demand of its new American friends: drop support for the "Zionist regime."

In an email response quoted by Bloomberg, Muslim Brotherhood spokesman Mahmoud Ghozlan stated that if America wants solid relations with the group, it should "stop supporting the corrupt and tyrannical regimes, backing the Zionist occupation and using double standards."

It is important to remember that when the Muslim Brotherhood speaks of the "Zionist occupation" it does not mean only the Israeli presence in Judea and Samaria, the so-called "West Bank."

The Muslim Brotherhood sees all of Israel as a cancerous growth that must be eradicated. The group supports returning Egypt to a state of war with Israel, and wants to see the entirety of the region become an Islamic Caliphate.

Former Egyptian President Anwar Sadat was assassinated by the Muslim Brotherhood for making peace with Israel.

The Muslim Brotherhood is today the most organized political force in Egypt, raising expectations that it will win control of the government when Egyptians go to the polls in September.

Rising terror, falling sky

Michael Dorstewitz

July 5, 2011

“I've seen the lights go out on Broadway,
I watched the mighty skyline fall.”
Billy Joel, “Miami 2017”

On June 30, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton formally recognized the Muslim Brotherhood as a legitimate authority in Egypt. By this act, she drove yet one more dagger into the heart of Israel, and arguably degraded our own country’s national security.

The Muslim Brotherhood’s objective has been from the start a global Islamic state. Its goal is the complete annihilation of all non-Muslims and the worldwide application of Sharia law. The brotherhood differs from international terror groups like al-Qaida only in tactics, not goals.

Sound farfetched? Consider the words of Andrew Gilligan, the Sunday Telegraph's London editor, who described one of London’s boroughs as a de facto Islamic republic under the control of the Muslim Forum of Europe. This group “believes in transforming the very infrastructure of society, its institutions, its culture, its political order and its creed … from ignorance to Islam.” According to England’s Environment Minister Jim Fitzpatrick, the group is also infiltrating and quickly taking over Britain’s Labour Party.

It’s not just England that has been sounding the warning bell. Netherlands Member of Parliament, Geert Wilders has long been critical of radical Islam. He was recently acquitted of “hate speech” for making such remarks as, “The Koran is the Mein Kampf of a religion which aims to eliminate others and which calls the others - the non-Muslims - unreligious dogs.” After observing Europe’s cultural degradation over the decades, he felt compelled to warn the United States.

Here at home, dozens of “incubators” for jihad have been uncovered, and a large percentage of our mosques advocate or promote violence.

In response to this and a growing number of attacks by home-grown terrorists as documented by Catherine Herridge in The Next Wave, Congressman Peter King, R-N.Y., convened hearings on radical Islam in the House Committee on Homeland Security. In reply, President Obama called for religious tolerance, while Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, suggested we should more properly investigate “Christian militants.”

Religious tolerance? Islam’s bigotry toward all other religious groups, as well as its systematic brutality toward women, is well documented.

Any organization that advances the subjugation of women and is violently intolerant of anyone not sharing its belief system is no longer a religion of peace; it is a cult of hate.

What can we do? We can start by giving ourselves permission to openly speak the truth. When we can’t deal with one another honestly and directly, we lose the ability to problem-solve. When we’ve become so politically correct that we can’t even utter the phrase “Islamic terrorist,” the sky won’t just fall; it will come down with a crash.

The news said last night that Obama has lost 22% of Jewish voter support since he was elected. The American Jewish population usually has an average 78% Democrat vote, but recent polls show only a 56% support for Obama if the election was held right now. The Jewish American opinion of his support of Israel has also gone down from 39% to 30% since he was elected.
