He Was Made Sin For Us

II Corinthians 5:22 “For he (God) hath made him to be sin for us, who

knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (KJV)

Do you really have a concept of the sacrifice Christ made

When He died upon the cross and our sins were fully paid?

Not just for those who trust Him did Christ die to give new birth,

But He died for every sinner who would ever walk this earth.

All the sorrow, guilt and judgment of the sins each man had done,

All these were placed upon Him as Christ died for everyone.

He had come from heaven’s glory to the earth cursed by our sin

To proclaim the love of God, making one with God again.

But the ones Christ came to save hated Him with bitter guile.

They plotted how to kill Him and placed the Son of God on trial.

They mocked Him and they cursed Him, He who knew no sin at all.

Then they cried out, “Crucify Him” there in Pilot’s judgment hall.

Next they nailed Him to a cross where His precious blood was spilt.

The Son of God was sinless yet He bore our sin and guilt.

There our Savior made the payment as God placed on Him our shame.

Bearing all our wickedness, our Redeemer Christ became.

He bore our hell and torment as He suffered on the cross.

Taking on Himself our judgment, saving us from horrid loss.

If you trust Christ as your Savior, all your sins He’ll wash away.

Will you call on Him to save you? Will you do it now today?
