Friends

Proverbs 17:17 “A friend loveth at all times,
and a brother is born for adversity.” (KJV)
Some folks are friends when e’er you meet,
You say hello or stop to greet.
Then there are friends you count upon,
Who would show up before the dawn.
No favor is ever too extreme.
A friend like this is a true dream.
Just one in life is all you need.
While some come first for their own greed.
If you have a true friend like this,
You share their love in joy and bliss.
If you’ve no friend to count upon,
When in need they all are gone.
Are you a friend like this to some,
Or to their need both deaf and dumb?
Help me be this kind of friend,
With true concern that knows no end.
