THE GENOCIDE THAT IS BEING IGNORED BY THE WORLD

|

by Darius Shahtahmasebi

If you need evidence that politicians and the mainstream media pick and choose which oppressive conflicts to cover in order to further geopolitical ambitions, you need only Google “West Papua.”

Ever heard of it? Have you ever been sitting at home watching CNN,BBC, or Fox News and heard the news anchor mention West Papua?

It’s strange that this oppression receives little to no media coverage considering a recent fact-finding mission conducted by the Brisbane Archdiocese’s Catholic Justice and Peace Commission reported that West Papua was experiencing a “slow motion genocide.” The report warned West Papua’s indigenous population is at risk of becoming an anthropological museum exhibit of a bygone culture.”

When you learn what fuels the conflict in West Papua, it becomes clear why this issue receives hardly a blink from our peace-loving politiciansand media establishment.

West Papua is home to one of the world’s largest gold mines (and third largest copper mine), known as the Grasberg Mine. Grasberg is majority-owned by the American mining firm Freeport McMoRan. It has reserves worth an estimated $100 billion, and the company is Indonesia’s biggest taxpayer.

Money and geopolitics usually beat out human rights. Since the Suharto dictatorship of Indonesia annexed West Papua in a 1969 U.N. referendum – largely viewed as a land grab – an estimated 500,000 West Papuans have been killed fighting to achieve independence.

Freeport McMoRan was given rights to Grasberg when the Indonesian government signed the right to extract mineral wealth from the site in 1967. In order to preserve this quite literal gold mine, the Indonesian military uses brute force against the local indigenous population. Benny Wenda, a native Papuan who has campaigned his whole life for independence, details the kinds of experiences the local population has endured at the hands of the Indonesian military:

“Now, every morning on the way to their gardens, Benny and his mother and aunties would be stopped and checked by Indonesian soldiers. Often the soldiers would force the women to wash themselves in the river before brutally raping them in front of their children. Many young women, including three of Benny’s aunties, died in the jungle from the trauma and injuries inflicted during these attacks, which often involved genital mutilation. Every day Papuan women had to report to the military post to provide food from their gardens, and to clean and cook for the soldiers. Violence, racism and enforced subservience became part of daily routine.” [emphasis added]

Australia, a country with a cozy, albeit confusing relationship with Indonesia, plays its part in destroying any decent discussion on this horrifying issue. In November of last year, the Indonesian government asked Australia to put pressure on the Pacific nations who have begun to show support for West Papua’s campaign for independence, effectively stopping these tiny islands from “interfering” in Indonesia’s affairs. Australia has been quite complicit in this issue to date, even providing the Indonesian military with the equipment necessary to wreak havoc on the local population.

Lately, however, there has been some progress. The two countriessuspended military ties after an Indonesian military official found “offensive” material at an Australian military base, including homework that suggested West Papua was part of Melanesia and should be given independence.

Regardless, Papua has the highest poverty rate in Indonesia. It is nearly three times the national average. It also has the highest infant, child, and maternal mortality rates in Indonesia, as well as the worst health indicators and the lowest literacy rates.

Imagine how greatly the West Papuans could improve their standard of living if they were allowed to control their own resources without the Indonesian military forcibly destroying their lives.

Meanwhile, an American mining company continues to make hundreds of billions of dollars at the expense of innocent natives.

The Clinton Foundation Is Dead — But The Case Against Hillary Isn't

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton walks on stage at the Clinton Global Initiative. (AP)

1/19/2017

While everyone's been gearing up for President Trump's inauguration, the
Clinton Foundation made a major announcement this week that went by with almost no notice: For all intents and purposes, it's closing its doors.

In a tax filing, the Clinton Global Initiative said it's firing 22 staffers and closing its offices, a result of the gusher of foreign money that kept the foundation afloat suddenly drying up after Hillary Clinton failed to win the presidency.

It proves what we've said all along: The Clinton Foundation was little more than an influence-peddling scheme to enrich the Clintons, and had little if anything to do with "charity," either overseas or in the U.S. That sound you heard starting in November was checkbooks being snapped shut in offices around the world by people who had hoped their donations would buy access to the next president of the United States.

And why not? There was a strong precedent for it in Hillary Clinton's tenure as secretary of state. While serving as the nation's top diplomat, the Clinton Foundation took money from at least seven foreign governments — a clear breach of Clinton's pledge on taking office that there would be total separation between her duties and the foundation.

Is there a smoking gun? Well, of the 154 private interests who either officially met or had scheduled phone talks with Hillary Clinton while she was secretary of state, at least 85 were donors to the Clinton Foundation or one of its programs.

In November, we asked the question: "
Is The Clinton Foundation Doomed?" The answer is yes.

All the way back in May, we outlined how the Clinton Foundation had taken in $100 million from a collection of Gulf sheikhs and billionaires, along with millions from private businesses, who expected — and received — special access to the State Department's top official, Hillary.

In his 2015 book "
Clinton Cash," author Peter Schweizer showed how during Hillary's years in government "the Clintons have conducted or facilitated hundreds of large transactions (either as private citizens or government officials) with foreign governments, corporations and private financiers." He called the sums going to the Clintons "staggering."

Using the Freedom of Information Act, Judicial Watch in
August obtained emails(that had been hidden from investigators) showing that Clinton's top State Department aide, Huma Abedin, had given "special expedited access to the secretary of state" for those who gave $25,000 to $10 million to the Clinton Foundation. Many of those were facilitated by a former executive of the foundation, Doug Band, who headed Teneo, a shell company that managed the Clintons' affairs.

As part of this elaborate arrangement, Abedin was given special permission to work for the State Department, the Clinton Foundation and Teneo — another very clear conflict of interest.

As Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said at the time, "These new emails confirm that Hillary Clinton abused her office by selling favors to Clinton Foundation donors."

The seedy saga doesn't end there. Indeed, there are so many facets to it, some may never be known. But there is still at least one and possibly four active federal investigations into the Clintons' supposed charity.

Americans aren't willing to forgive and forget. Earlier this month, the IBD/TIPP Poll asked Americans whether they would like President Obama to pardon Hillary for any crimes she may have committed as secretary of state, including the illegal use of an unsecured homebrew email server. Of those queried, 57% said no. So if public sentiment is any guide, the Clintons' problems may just be beginning.

Writing in the Washington Post in August of 2016, Charles Krauthammer pretty
much summed up the whole tawdry tale: "The foundation is a massive family enterprise disguised as a charity, an opaque and elaborate mechanism for sucking money from the rich and the tyrannous to be channeled to Clinton Inc.," he wrote. "Its purpose is to maintain the Clintons' lifestyle (offices, travel accommodations, etc.), secure profitable connections, produce favorable publicity and reliably employ a vast entourage of retainers, ready to serve today and at the coming Clinton Restoration."

Except, now there is no Clinton Restoration. So there's no reason for any donors to give money to the foundation. It lays bare the fiction of a massive "charitable organization," and shows it for what it was: a scam to sell for cash the waning influence of the Democrats' pre-eminent power couple. As far as the charity landscape goes, the Clinton Global Initiative won't be missed.

Bush Clinton Inauguration Assassination Plot! They Want to Watch Trump Die!

Wednesday, January 18, 2017 13:19

Stew Webb and Tom Heneghan report on the latest intel concerning the Bush Clinton Assassination Plot on Donald Trump! The Bushes and Clintons actually want to watch Trump get gunned down on the inauguration stand! They really think it’s going to happen! Stew asks everybody to pray for Trump’s safety during this most dangerous time! The Bushes and Clintons know they will face justice when Trump gets in and they are desperate to stop him!

Gun Caches found in Washington DC!

Some lady out for a walk happened upon a couple of guns stashed in a violin case in the woods near the C&O Canal along the Potomac River in Washington, DC.

After the police were called in, more weapons caches were found, including long guns, pistols, and ammunition in pails and garbage bags tucked away in an area of the woods hikers aren’t known to frequent.

“At this point, we don’t know how they got there, why they’re here or when they got here,” police spokeswoman Sgt. Anna Rose told ABC News.

People are starting to understand just how evil the Bushes and Clintons are but most of you don’t realize that Stew Webb broke one of the biggest stories of the last 20 years when he interviewed Anthony Lavey and Anthony testified both Bush Sr and Bush Jr were at his father’s satanic sacrifice ceremonies in Denver! This should have been posted everywhere but unfortunately alternative media is chock full of tip of the spear gatekeepers who don’t really want to win this fight! Here’s the interview for those who didn’t hear it because of censorship by all gatekeepers in alternative media.

Chaos as Anti-Trump D.C. Protests Erupt 5 hours ago

ADREES LATIF/REUTERS

On Friday afternoon following the inauguration and swearing in of President Donald Trump in Washington D.C., a gathering of protesters in the downtown portion of the city turned chaotic as a small group of anti-Trump self-declared "anti-fascists" clashed with police. While a large number of marchers and demonstrators were peaceful, some of the protesters attempted to set up ad hoc barricades, and hurled objects such as rocks, plastic bottles, and small pieces of cement block towards the cops. The police responded by firing off flash bangs and pepper spray in attempts to disperse the crowd. Much of the incident occurred near the intersection of K and 12th and 13th Streets NW. Protesters chanted such popular slogans as “No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA” and the more succinct “**** Donald Trump.” Interim police chief Peter Newsham told reporters that it was just a small group, “maybe a couple hundred,” causing the chaos, literally “thousands of others” were peacefully demonstrating.

More than 200 people arrested as inauguration protests turn violent

Hunter Walker
National Correspondent
Yahoo News

WASHINGTON, D.C — More than 200 people have been arrested as of Friday evening in connection with protests that erupted during the inauguration of President Donald Trump, according to a spokesman for the District of Columbia’s Metropolitan Police Department. The demonstrations included acts of vandalism and clashes with police officers, who used flash bang grenades and pepper spray against the protesters.

Yahoo News was present for a particularly intense clash between police and hundreds of demonstrators that took place in the vicinity of K Street and 14th Street Northwest at about 5 p.m. Demonstrators lit multiple fires in the area and set ablaze a limousine. Police officers in riot gear moved in on the scene and pushed the protesters back using pepper spray and flash bang grenades. Some of the demonstrators, many of whom wore masks and helmets, retaliated by throwing bottles and bricks.

A man who said his name was Hassan remained in the street facing the line of officers after being sprayed in the face.

“They’ll have to bodily kick me out against every fiber of my being,” Hassan said as he grimaced in pain and a mixture of pepper spray and tears flowed down his cheeks.

Hassan later told Yahoo News the experience felt like being “tattooed on the face.” He also shared his reasons for wanting to be part of the protests against Trump. Hassan said he wanted to be in the street “standing and being representative of the fact that there is absolute disagreement with what is going on in this country right now.” He further explained that he believed Trump is a threat to minorities and LGBT people.

“The vast majority of minorities in this country have a whole lot to worry about,” Hassan said

The area calmed down by evening, though police and protesters remained in the street.

Not all of the anti-Trump demonstrators in the nation’s capitol on Friday clashed with police. Most took part in peaceful rallies and expressed their dissent through signs and costumes. At one event in McPherson Park, Mary Musson and Stephanie Reece wore t-shirts for a hypothetical “Michelle Obama 2020” presidential campaign. Reece didn’t hesitate when Yahoo News asked if she wished the former first lady had run in last year’s election.

“Hell yeah! Are you kidding? She’d be awesome!” Reece said of Obama.

Reece was far less enthusiastic about Trump’s speech following the swearing-in ceremony.

“He didn’t try to unite anybody, that’s for sure,” she said of Trump.

Musson described the president’s inaugural address as “horrifying.”

“I just found nothing uplifting or positive,” said Musson.

The pair told Yahoo News they came from Maine to participate in the “Women’s March” protest against Trump that is scheduled for Saturday. Musson predicted the anti-Trump demonstrations would extend far beyond the weekend of the inauguration.

“I think this is going to be a movement that’s not going to stop,” she said.

Many of the signs, t-shirts and costumes at the protests referenced the fact that Democrat Hillary Clinton won the popular vote in the presidential race against Trump last year. Others referenced a report released by the U.S. intelligence agencies that concluded the Russian government released emails hacked from the Democratic National Committee and a top aide to Clinton’s campaign in order to benefit Trump. One man sold buttons that featured a painting of Putin holding a baby version of Trump.

In McPherson Square, Jacob Shiman and his brother, Andrew, had a costume that featured masks of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump, and bondage gear. Jacob, dressed as Putin, was dragging Andrew, who played the part of Trump, by a chain attached to his neck. The brothers said they were trying to show their concern over Trump’s past praise for Putin and unverified allegations that the Russian government has compromising information about the new president.

“I don’t think Vladimir Putin is someone who should be emulated,” Andrew said, adding, “I mean, he kills journalists in his country. He kills political opposition. So, I just really hope that his governing style does not come to the U.S.”

At some locations, Trump supporters made their way through protests and many of them exchanged words with demonstrators. Christine Escalona, a California woman who wore a knit hat with a Trump logo, shouted that it was “ridiculous” for people to light cars on fire as she passed the scene on K Street.

“It’s really sad. They’re destroying their community. It’s very sad,” Escalona told Yahoo News.

Escalona said she understood why some people were upset about Trump’s election, but suggested they needed to have a more open mind.

“I think they need to look at the bigger picture – that he wants to create jobs for everybody and not just the wealthy ones,” Escalona said of Trump.

Another group of Trump supporters in “Make America Great Again” hats didn’t stop to talk to the demonstrators as they passed by K Street. However, some protesters threw litter at them and shouted as they walked by.

“Get out of here!” one of the men yelled. “Get your ass out of the city!”
