Vaccines: The New Government Attack On Pregnant Women

MAY 7, 2016

By Jon Rappoport

Ferocious vaccine manufacturers are constantly on the move, looking for new “demographics” to shoot with vaccines. If they could stick a needle into a rock and get paid for it, they would find a reason to do it.

But in this case, we’re talking about pregnant women.

Protection, protection, protection—that’s the cover the government keeps pushing.

Meanwhile, the vaccines they’re foisting on pregnant women have a track record of damage.

Barbara Loe Fisher, head of the National Vaccine Information Center, has the story, so I’ll let her tell it. These are excerpts from her testimony before the Nov. 13, 2015 “meeting of the FDA Vaccines & Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) on proposed changes to FDA requirements for licensure of vaccines intended for use during pregnancy”:

Fisher (“FDA Prepares to Fast Track New Vaccines Targeting Pregnant Women,”11/17/2016):

“In 2006, CDC officials directed doctors to give all pregnant women a flu shot and, in 2011, a Tdap shot during every pregnancy, no matter how little time has elapsed between pregnancies. Prior to FDA licensure, influenza, diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis vaccines [Tdap and flu shots] were not tested in or proven safe and effective for pregnant women in large clinical trials when given during every pregnancy either singly or simultaneously.”

“Categorized by FDA as Pregnancy Category B and C biologicals because it is not known whether the vaccines are genotoxic and can cause fetal harm or can affect maternal fertility and reproduction, administering influenza and Tdap vaccines to pregnant women is an off-label use of these vaccines. It is a policy that assumes maternal vaccination is necessary, safe and effective without proving it.”

“…pertussis containing vaccine [Tdap] injuries and deaths are the most compensated claim in the federal vaccine injury compensation program (VICP) for infants and children, while influenza vaccine-related injuries and deaths are the most compensated claim for adults. And yet, in the absence of credible biological mechanism and epidemiologic evidence pre-licensure proving these vaccines are safe for all pregnant women, their fetuses and newborns, female health care workers are being fired for refusing to be injected with them while they are pregnant.”

“The National Vaccine Information Center is opposed to FDA retroactively licensing influenza and Tdap vaccines for use in pregnant women and fast tracking RSV [respiratory syncytial virus] and group strep B vaccines to licensure…”

No evidence of safety, but so what? Reports of injuries and deaths, but so what?

Pregnant women are a “lucrative market,” and that’s all that counts.

Need a terrific target for further disabling the population? Pregnant women are ideal.

The FDA and its army of allies will assure you that these untested and off-label uses for vaccines are perfectly safe, because all vaccines are safe.

The FDA speaks for the pharmaceutical industry. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

It might be tempting to say the FDA is careless, is overlooking important factors—but it’s much, much worse than that.

Here are excerpts from a 2012 piece of mine about an FDA drug reviewer, and what happened to him when he went against the grain, and opposed his bosses on judgments about what was safe medicine and what was dangerous medicine:

—In a stunning interview with Truthout’s Martha Rosenberg, former FDA drug reviewer, Ronald Kavanagh, exposes the FDA as a relentless criminal mafia protecting its client, Big Pharma, with a host of mob strategies (“Former FDA Reviewer Speaks Out About Intimidation, Retaliation and Marginalizing of Safety,”7/29/2012).

Kavanagh: “…widespread [FDA] racketeering, including witness tampering and witness retaliation.”

“I was threatened with prison.”

“One [FDA] manager threatened my children…I was afraid that I could be killed for talking to Congress and criminal investigators.”

Kavanagh reviewed new drug applications made to the FDA by pharmaceutical companies. He was one of the holdouts at the Agency who insisted that the drugs had to be safe and effective before being released to the public.

But honest appraisal wasn’t part of the FDA culture, and Kavanagh swam against the tide, until he realized his life and the lives of his children were on the line.

What was his secret task at the FDA? “Drug reviewers were clearly told not to question drug companies and that our job was to approve drugs.” In other words, rubber stamp them. Say the drugs were safe and effective when they were not.

Kavanagh’s revelations are stunning. He recalls a meeting where a drug-company representative flat-out stated that his company had paid the FDA for a new-drug approval. Paid for it. As in bribe.

***Kavanagh remarks that the drug pyridostigmine, given to US troops to prevent the later effects of nerve gas, “actually increased the lethality” of certain nerve agents.

Kavanagh recalls being given records of safety data on a drug—and then his bosses told him which sections not to read. Obviously, they knew the drug was dangerous and they knew exactly where, in the reports, that fact would be revealed.

—end of excerpt—

Women have to know what is waiting for them, in vials of vaccines, when they become pregnant. Waiting for them and their unborn children.

Huxley’s Brave New World portrayed a nation of docile citizens. But there, at least, the drug of choice was Soma, a compound that stimulated pleasure centers.

Here, we’re talking about docility and obedience in the face of suffering, pain, neurological damage, and death.

Doctors don’t want to know about this. They don’t want to know the true story about vaccines. If they did, they’d suddenly remember the body count they’ve been responsible for.

So instead, they polish their act, designed to invoke credibility and, above all, authority.

Invent a mountaintop, stand on it, and sell, sell, sell.

That’s their vaccine motto.

What’s yours?

The IMF and the World Bank Turn Pessimistic, Which Means We Are in Serious Trouble

By Tony Sagami

I don’t listen to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank when they gush about how great the global economy is doing… which is almost always.

I do, however, pay careful attention whenever their near-perpetual optimism turns negative. And that’s what is happening right now.

The IMF lowered its 2016 global growth forecast for both 2016 and 2017 by 0.2% and 0.1%, respectively.

They worry, in particular, about the drop in oil prices, a sharp economic slowdown in China, rumblings about trade wars and tariffs, disease epidemics, refugees crises, and military conflict.

The World Bank is even more pessimistic: They lowered their 2016 global GDP forecast from 2.9% to 2.5%.

Those are some pretty somber forecasts that should not be ignored. But the handwriting on the wall is pretty obvious—the global economy is losing steam fast.

Here are some more penetrating warning signs:

World trade dropped 3.8%

The Merchandise World Trade Monitor tracks global imports and exports in two measures—by volume and by unit price in US dollars.

World trade is down this year by 0.4% on a volume basis and down 3.8% in dollar terms.

“Both import and export momentum became more negative in the United States,” said the Merchandise World Trade Monitor.

The unit/price index fell 23%

June of 2014 was a significant month because it was the point when total business revenues of US companies hit a peak and the price of oil really started to fall.

The unit price index of world trade has plunged 23% since then, and is now lower than during the worst part of the Financial Crisis.

The PMI index is weak

The latest JPMorgan-Markit global manufacturing purchasing managers index (PMI) showed the weakest quarterly performance in years.

Markit noted that “conditions remained lackluster in the three main industrial regions covered by the survey” and “manufacturing production was near-stagnant in Asia.”

Manufacturing jobs are vanishing

It is easy to see how manufacturing jobs—the good-paying jobs—are disappearing in the US. Our economy is creating lots of “Would you like fries with that, sir” jobs, but not much else.

Industrial production dropped 2%

Industrial production was down 2.0% in March.

That’s bad enough, but it gets worse: this is the seventh month in a row that it has declined on a year-over-year basis. The US economy has never seen industrial production drop for seven consecutive months without being in a recession.

The good and bad news

The good news is that the world economy is slowing down, not contracting.

The bad news, however, is that stock prices are sky-high. The S&P 500 is now trading at the highest price-to-sales (PS) and price/earnings-to-growth (PEG) ratios in the history of the stock market.

In short, the stock market is priced for perfection, largely on the assumption that Janet Yellen and her Fed buddies will keep stock prices from falling with a combination of interest rate cuts—perhaps even negative interest rates—and/or another zillion-dollar QE program.

To me, the question isn’t whether or not the Federal Reserve will swamp Wall Street with more monetary steroids… because I’m sure it will.

The more important question is: Will more monetary steroids work? My answer is, “Not a chance,” and that is why I urge you to have a clear strategy to protect yourself when things turn ugly.

There are many strategies to consider, including:

  • Protective stop-loss orders,
  • Inverse ETFs designed to profit from falling stock prices,
  • A small allocation for portfolio insurance (aka put options),
  • Market timing tools like moving averages,
  • or simply taking some chips off the table and increasing your cash cushion.

One strategy that I don’t recommend is “Buy, hold, and pray”— buy stocks, hold on for dear life, and pray that they go up.

The Next Employment Crisis Is Here: Job Cuts At U.S. Companies Jump 35 Percent In April

MAY 8, 2016

MAY 8, 2016

By Michael Snyder

Should we be alarmed that the number of job cuts announced by large U.S. companies was 35 percent higher in April than it was in March? This is definitely a case where the trend is not our friend. According to Challenger, Gray & Christmas, U.S. firms announced 65,141 job cuts during April, which represented a massive 35 percent increase over the previous month. And so far this year overall, job cut announcements are running 24 percent higher than for the exact same period in 2015. Meanwhile, on Thursday we learned that initial claims for unemployment benefits shot up dramatically last week. In fact, the jump of 17,000 was the largest increase that we have seen in over a year. Of course the U.S. economy has been slowing down for quite a while now, and many have been wondering when we would begin to see that slowdown reflected in the employment numbers. Well, that day has now arrived.

At this point, U.S. firms are laying off people at a rate that we have not seen since the last financial crisis. Here is what Zero Hedge had to say about these latest numbers…

While one can debate the veracity of the BLS’ seasonally adjusted data, one thing is certain: when a company announces it will layoff thousands, it will. So for all those who suggest that all is well with the US jobs picture based on initial claims reports, here is the latest report from Challengeraccording to which the pace of downsizing increased in April jumped by 35% to 65,141 during the month of April, from the 48,207 layoff announcements in March.

Looking further back, in the first four months of 2016, employers have announced a total of 250,061 planned job cuts, up 24% from the 201,796 job cuts tracked during the same period a year ago. This represents the highest January-April total since 2009, when the opening four months of the year saw 695,100 job cuts in the aftermath of the biggest financial crisis in modern history.

So what is causing this?

Why are firms laying off so many people all of a sudden?

My readers are very well aware of the pain that the energy industry is experiencing at the moment, but surprisingly it was not the energy industry that announced the most job cuts in April…

Computer firms announced 16,923 job cuts during the month; the highest total among all industries. That total includes 12,000 from chipmaker Intel, which is shifting away from the traditional desktop and laptop market and toward the mobile market. To date, computer firms have announced 33,925 job cuts, up 262 percent from a year ago, when job cuts in the sector totaled just 9,368 through the first four months of the year.”

Yes, the U.S. energy industry has lost well over 100,000 good-paying jobs since the beginning of last year, but the downturn is so much broader than that. All over America corporate earnings are down, and when earnings fall it is inevitable that layoffs will follow.

As I have written about previously, earnings for companies listed on the S&P 500 have fallen a total of 18.5 percent from their peak in late 2014, and it was being projected that corporate earnings overall would be down 8.5 percent for the first quarter of 2016 compared to the same period a year ago.

And in the chart that I have posted below, you can see that corporate profits after tax have been falling precipitously since peaking in mid-2015…

corporate-profitsAs this new economic downturn intensifies, the layoffs will accelerate.

In plain English, that means that a whole lot more people will be losing their jobs.

Unfortunately, a very large percentage of Americans didn’t learn anything from the last crisis and are living on the financial edge. In fact, the Federal Reserve says that 47 percent of all Americans cannot even pay an unexpected $400 emergency room bill without borrowing the money or selling something.

Is This The 4th Recent Nuclear Disaster To Strike The U.S.?

MAY 8, 2016

By Brandon Turbeville

Is there any nuclear site in the United States that is not currently collapsing, leaking or otherwise posing a major health or environmental risk? Certainly there are, but that number is becoming smaller and smaller.

In addition to three other nuclear disasters unfolding across the country, a fourth has now arisen. This new disaster is located in Washington state in a facility known as the Hanford site.

One week after 19 workers were sent for medical evaluation as the nuclear waste tank was being transferred because of a leak, 3 more workers are now being reported as injured at the site. According to RT, the workers inhaled radioactive fumes – the same issue facing the 19 previously hospitalized workers. This brings the injured number of workers up to 22.

The Hanford site has reportedly been leaking massive amounts of radiation for more than two weeks. By no means a recent facility, the Hanford nuclear site is one of the original nuclear facilities in the United States, having been part of the Manhattan Project itself. Weapons-grade plutonium was stored at this facility for use in atomic weapons, one of which was dropped on Hiroshima.

Although the facility was decommissioned at the end of the Cold War, the facility has been used to store nuclear waste. In fact, according to RT, two-thirds of America’s radioactive materials are stored at this location which makes it one of the largest facilities of its kind in the world.

The storage tanks which were built as early as 1940 and as late as 1970 contain 56 million gallons of radioactive chemicals.

According Gerry Pollet, a Washington State Representative, those tanks were never expected to last longer than 20 years.

Pollet says,

Twenty years was a dream in the first place. And, as you know, some of them didn’t last 20 years – and we had a small explosion on the 1950s. That hot waste boiled; created a steam explosion under the tank, and we were lucky that we didn’t have half of eastern Washington having to be permanently evacuated.

The company operating the facility acknowledged “higher-than-normal readings for contamination” for a certain tank, but claimed that the readings “well below the alarm level.” RT correspondent Alexey Yaroshevsky traveled to the Hanford site with a Geiger counter.

Yaroshevsky measured the radiation levels of a rock laying well outside of the containment facility and, while the readings were not considered an emergency even the reporter’s handheld device registered a higher-than-normal level of radiation.

Yaroshevsky wondered aloud whether or not the radiation levels closer to the center to the containment facility would be much higher. The reports of the Hanford site leakage now add a West Coast dimension to the nuclear crisis that has escalated in the last few weeks.

In addition to Hanford, reports West Lake Landfill in St. Louis, Missouri which houses sizable amounts of nuclear waste is facing an approaching fire from an adjacent landfill that threatens to turn West Lake into a cauldron of radioactive air pollution. In addition, a nuclear power plant in Turkey Point, Florida is reportedly leaking polluted water into Biscayne Bay. New York’s Indian Point power plant is also threatening to become a major radioactive incident. Constant leaks, mishaps and other signs of an outright collapse have existed at Indian Point for quite some time but have increased in frequency over the last year.

Exposing the ISIS killing machine

Lara Logan accompanies a French Catholic priest on a mission to expose a genocide perpetrated by ISIS that has taken the lives of at least 5,000 Yezidi in Iraq
  • 2016May 08
  • CORRESPONDENTLara Logan

The following script is from "The Killing Machine" which aired on May 8, 2016. Lara Logan is the correspondent. Max McClellan and Richard Butler, producer.

American soldiers have been drawn deeper into the war against ISIS and this past week a third U.S. serviceman was killed in northern Iraq. It's a fight that began more than a year and a half ago when ISIS was expanding it's territory and it's been hard to shed light on the areas under its control because most reporters can't go there. But there have been some places where ISIS has been run off, and Sinjar is one of them.

yezidismain.jpg

Displaced Yezidis flee violence in Sinjar

REUTERS

It's a small city that lies on a highway connecting ISIS territory in Syria to its territory inside Iraq and when ISIS fighters took control they began to systematically wipe out the Yezidi peoplewho lived there.

After Sinjar was liberated, we went there with Father Patrick Desbois, a French Catholic Priest, who is one of the world's leading voices on genocide. He spent 15 years documenting the mass murder of Jews by Hitler's mobile death squads. Now he says he's on a mission to expose what he calls the ISIS killing machine.

This is what is left of the ancient Yezidi city of Sinjar. We put a camera on a drone to try to capture the enormity of the devastation. ISIS sees the Yezidis as devil worshippers and their policy here was total annihilation. What you're looking at is a thousand years of civilization reduced to rubble in 15 months of terror.

Last November, some 7,000 Kurdish Peshmerga soldiers backed by heavy U.S. airpower, pushed the Islamic State out of here. The Kurds said they killed around 300 terrorists in the two day offensive.

This is what it takes to claim a city back from the Islamic State. There is nothing left. Any direction you walk, all you find is more destruction. One street after another, an entire city literally in ruins.

We walked the shattered streets of the Yezidi heartland with Father Patrick Desbois, who was on his fourth trip to Iraq. He told us what ISIS didn't destroy, Kurdish forces leveled as they fought their way in.

Father Desbois: I asked the Peshmerga, they told me it was the only way to make ISIS go, the only way to make them go is to destroy the city.

Lara Logan: The only way to defeat them?

Father Desbois: Yea, it's terrible.

Father Desbois has been studying the minds and methods of mass murderers like Hitler most of his life and he'd come here to investigate the genocide of the Yezidis by ISIS, an organization more sophisticated than he expected.

desbois.jpg

Father Patrick Desbois

CBS NEWS

Father Desbois: It's not easy to manage your war, to manage international terrorism and to manage a genocide in same territory. Hitler, it took for him a long time before doing all that. And ISIS they did it so quickly.

Lara Logan: Does that speed frighten you?

Father Desbois: Yeah, it's frightening because it means actually there is a kind of science of terrorist, war and genocide. They developed a science.

The Islamic State stormed into Sinjar in August 2014. They murdered at least 5,000 and kidnapped thousands of others as they cleansed the land of Yezidis.

Father Desbois said their strategy here was unlike anywhere else. Those who could fled to Sinjar Mountain, where images of their desperation reached the world, in part prompting the first U.S. airstrikes of the war.

Evidence of the ISIS killing machine lies, Father Desbois said, in the city's remains.

Lara Logan: Which building is this?

Father Desbois: It's where they put the Yezidis - (all the Yezidis of Shingal)

That's why he brought us to what's left of the main Administration building.

Father Desbois: That is the beginning of genocide, it's the first step for me.

Lara Logan: In this building.

Father Desbois: Yea.

Here, ISIS rounded up Yezidi men, women and children.

Father Debois: They say to people, "Don't worry, we'll bring you to a nice building." It's why they accept.

Lara Logan: And they don't think that they're going to die?

Father Debois: No.

Lara Logan: That's why they come?

Father Debois: Yeah, that's why they come. And here begins the selection. And so this system is system of permanent, permanent selection.

Father Desbois said they're registered, separated and ordered to hand over money, jewelry, cellphones. ISIS had a plan for everyone.

Father Desbois: They see a boy who is 10 years old, he can carry a bomb, he will carry bombs. They see a girl, she's beautiful. Oh, she will be sold to an Emir to be a sex slave. They have the sense of utility. A person is only to be used for something.

Lara Logan: So each person has a purpose?

Father Desbois: Each person has a purpose.

Lara Logan: And if they have no purpose, what happens?

Father Desbois: They kill them.

Wherever we went in Sinjar, Kurdish soldiers came with us. They said there were still hidden bombs all over the city and Father Desbois used them as a guide.

Lara Logan: So where are you/they taking us? The tunnels?

Father Desbois: Over to one of the tunnels. Yea.

ISIS owned this ground for 15 months, transforming Sinjar into a fortress with tunnels underneath the city. The entrance to one was inside this house.

With ISIS still around two miles from here, the soldiers were tense. What we found, surprised us...

Lara Logan: That's incredible. I mean it just looks like a normal house.

There were mountains of dirt in every room. Whatever they took from the ground, they kept inside these walls, so American drones wouldn't see a tunnel being built.

This particular tunnel goes to the home of the Islamic State emir of the city, basically the top guy in charge here when the Islamic State was in control. And we're told that he and his inner circle - his bodyguards, his men - would hide underground here with him during the bombings.

Out on the street, Father Desbois was approached by survivors, desperate for answers about family members still missing.

[Father Desbois: What was the name of his father?]

There are mass graves across Sinjar and we had been to some of them. At this one east of the city where Kurdish officials had marked off the site, there were human bones still scattered in the dirt. It's believed Yezidis fleeing to Sinjar Mountain were caught by ISIS and killed here.

Lara Logan: It's impossible to know how long it's been here?

Father Desbois: No, we don't know. Only a doctor can say.

And in this mass grave on the outskirts of Sinjar, he was told some 80 Yezidi women were executed.

Lara Logan: They shot them right here?

Father Desbois: Yeah.

Lara Logan: And how do they know this?

Father Desbois: We know this because-- we can find bones and everything underground.

Lara Logan: There's half a skull there and two skulls there?

Father Desbois: Yeah. And here you half of the head. And here, too. It's really a shooting, extermination site.

At every site we visited, his team photographed and filmed the evidence and recorded GPS coordinates so they could come back. His lead investigator, Nastasie Costel, has been at his side helping to locate killing fields like these for years.

As they carry out their investigation in Yezidi towns and villages, Father Desbois is not asking eyewitnesses to recall what they saw more than 70 years ago, like he did with the Holocaust.

Father Desbois: How many people are buried here?

This time, he's interviewing survivors with the horror still fresh in their minds.

Lara Logan: So how does that change your investigation?

Father Desbois: It's completely different because the challenge now is to stop the genocide, is to try to save people, is to try to carry the voice of the victim, to make people conscious. The killing machine is alive.

Lara Logan: So, do you feel a sense of urgency then?

Father Desbois: Urgency and the immense tragedy also to have the conscience that the world doesn't wake up more now than '42.

For the Yezidis, there is no holier place than the temple of Lalish, about a hundred miles from Sinjar. They believe in one god and seven angels, an ancient religion that over time has adopted elements of many faiths.

Lara Logan: As long as they have been on earth, the Yezidis have been persecuted. Why do you think that is? They are peaceful people.

Father Desbois: Yeah, it's a people who, as I understand refuse to assimilate and so it was like a pocket of resistance inside the Islamic world.

Their faith is passed orally from generation to generation. So they have no sacred written book like the Bible or the Koran, which is one of the reasons ISIS has condemned them to death or sexual slavery. When Yezidi women are rescued or escape from the Islamic State they come here to the spring that flows under the temple to be cleansed.

Now the Yezidis are landless in their own land. There are nearly 200,000 living in refugee camps about 120 miles northeast of Sinjar in Kurdistan, where Father Desbois spends most of his time...piecing together a picture of what happened to the Yezidis of Sinjar.

He's recorded over 400 hours of testimony so far more than 80 men and women, much of which we caution you is disturbing to see and difficult to hear.

[Testimony: They burned him completely from his feet until to his head.]

And he allowed us to sit in with him on his second interview with Nasreen, who is 21. Still terrified of ISIS after more than a year under their control, she covered her face.

The wife would hold down my hands as the husband raped me, she told Father Desbois. She said at one point, she was tied to a bed, naked for three months, and raped...day and night.

Father Desbois: It was many men every night?

Nasreen: Everyday there would be ten men and they were from all countries.

Maha is 28. She had recently arrived in the camp, held by ISIS or Daesh as they're known here, for almost a year and a half. She gave these photographs to Father Desbois, which she said ISIS had taken. They showed three of her children dead, poisoned, she claimed, by the man who was raping her. He killed them because we tried to escape, she said.

But for Father Desbois, the heart of the ISIS war machine is not only the suffering of the Yezidi girls.

Father Desbois: If we show only the girls I think in one way, the Daesh, they don't care. It's not very secret. Very secret is the long-term machine they are preparing. I'm afraid that they use the image we give of them, rapists, it's like if you say Hitler was a rapist. Say, yes, they raped a lot of girls. But unfortunately it was a much larger machine and ISIS is the same category of machine.

Lara Logan: Very little is known about that.

Father Desbois: Very little. Very little. And for me, that's the secret of Daesh.

A secret that lies with boys like these two brothers who for their safety asked us not to use their names. They said ISIS kept them alive to train them as terrorists.

brothers.jpg

Brothers who say ISIS kept them alive to train them as terrorists

CBS NEWS

"Everything they did was to try to make us like them," he said. "They ordered us to plant hundreds of bombs and taught us how to detonate them."

Father Desbois: It seems a person received a bullet in the head...

Forensic specialists are finally beginning to exhume these mass graves and the number of dead -- already around 5,000 -- is expected to rise. As the Yezidi genocide enters its 21st month, there are still about 3,000 Yezidis being held by ISIS today.

Lara Logan: How do you stop the machine?

Father Desbois: It can be stopped only military.

Lara Logan: Militarily.

Father Desbois: Only military. I-- how-- how could be-- be stopped Hitler?

Lara Logan: You had to defeat him on the battlefield.

Father Desbois: In one way or another.

Lara Logan: And kill the idea.

Father Desbois: And kill the people who carry them.
